The trustees present them report and the financial statements for the year ended 30th April 2024
Objectives and activities
i. For the benefit ofthe public to relieve the suffering of Italian greyhounds in need of care and attention, and, in particular, to provide and maintain rescue homes for pedigree or crossed Italian greyhounds and to facilitate their rehoming;
- To ensure that lialian greyhounds in need of veterinary care and attention receive the appropriate care and treatment and to educate the public as to breed requirements im order to promote responsible ownership and positive health of Italian greyhounds; 3. To promote the advancementof education and science by furthering research into diseases and health issues affecting Nahan greyhounds.
Achievements and performance
The Chair presented a verbal report ofthe charities achiewements during the year to the meeting which can be found in theminutes of that meeting
Structure, governance and management
The organisation is an unincorporated charity that was registered with the Charity Commission on 7th Fume 2004.
Governing document
Its governing document is a Declaration ofTrust dated 13 May 2004, as amended on the 13th January 2005 and ist[November][ 2009.]
Risk management
The trastess regularly review the risks to the Charity from both external factors and its operations. The trustees consider that they have taken appropriate steps to reduce such risks.
Trustee Responsibilities
The Trasiees are responsible for ensuring that proper accounting records are kept, which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable the preparation offinancial that comply with the Charities Act 2011 and the applicable Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP). The Trustees are also responsible for safeguardinethe assets of the charityand taking reasonable steps for the prevemtionand detection of fraud and other irregularities.

[report on the accounts of the company for the year ended 30th April 2024 which are set out on pages 4 & 5.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the 2011 Act”). The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) ofthe 2011 Act and that an mdependent examination is needed.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for independent cxamunation, it is my responsibility to:
~ €xamune the accounts under section 145 ofte 2011 Act: - follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145 (5) (b) of the 2011 Act;
- and state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis ofindependent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commussion. Am cxammation includes a review ofthe accountimg records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with these records. It also cludes consideration ofany unusual items or disclosures im the accounts, and secking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opmion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
Independent examiner's statement
In commection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
© to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and
© © prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records, comply with the applicable methods and principles ofthe Charities Statement of Recommended Practic (SORP), have not been met;
2) or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
