Trustees Annual Report
The group has continued, despite severe economic pressures, to collect 2nd sell goods through the
Cliarity Shop based in Bristol. The efforts of the volunteers have been outstanding despite many of
them having Iheir own external pressures, many relalino lo health issues for themselves or their
partners.
Our precepts have not chaTtgcd and ive continue to distribule ￿ndS every quarter, once satisfying our
overheads, to in excess ofiliirty local anTmal welfare groups who for reasons of Iheir owi, have
di￿[c￿[ty in fundraising. The main reason being the pressure of ivork and the increasing numbers of
animals being ' dumped ' by their owners sometimes for the most trivial ofreasons ivhilsl others
simply do not think of their animals as an￿h]ng more than a toy to be discarded when the novelty
has worn otT.
W¢ are still helping many people wilh veterinary bills due to their inability to access free veterinary
care via oth¢r organisations even Ihouoh they may be able to claim it. We would rather ensure that
the animals are treated than risk them suffering at ihe hands of oH￿erS ihal are unwilling to make the
etTort lo take them to theses oraani5alions.
should like to pay tribute to each and every one of our volunteers for iheir outstanding efforts over
the last year and I look fonvard to working wilh them for a long time to come.
