The trustees are pleased to present their repjrt together the finan￿al statements of the charity for
the year ending 31 March 2025.
The accounts have been prepared in accordan￿ the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the
accounts and comply with the Chanty's Consb"tution, applicable law and the requirements of the
Statement of Recommended Practi￿, -Accounting and Reporting by Chantses" issued in March 2￿5.
The Trustees
The Trustees, who are also Directors of the company, afe appointed at the AGM by members. Trustees
Vlho served the charity during the period were as follows..
Ashfaque Ai Chowdhury, Sayed Shakil AHMED, Mohammad ASAD, Khawaja Zahid HAFEEZ. Kamal
Uddin KHAN. Mona MOHAMED. Mohammed Aminur Rahman, Hasina VARACHIA Yusuf Mohamed
Seedat.
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION OF MUSLIM SCHOOLS UK is a tharitable company limited by guarantee govemed by
a Memorandum of Assocsation and Artides of Associab"on incorporated on the 13th October 2003 as
amended on the 22 October 2014 and 25 August 2021. It was registered as a charity Wlth the Charity
Commission on the 27tr May 2004.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
The objectives of the organisation, as set OLrt in r(s goveming document are to promote and advance
the education of children and young people attending fijll-time Muslim farth schcK•ls according to the
leachings of the Qur'an and the sunnah, and to improve the provision and effectiveness of said
s(J)ools by providing advice, guidance and support to said schools and those wishing to establish
Muslim schools. The charity acted a5 the primary voice for Muslim independent schools and
education of Muslim children. It enhan￿d its engagement Wtth the Muslim school sedof during the
year, delivering a multr.tude of support and development prcyJrammes that enhanced the quality of
education In the schools and the tarbiyah of their pupils.
The charity continued to represenl the interests of the independent Muslim school sector by engaging
with govemment ministers and departments. other school sector groups and stakeholders, especially
to mitigate the impact of VAT on schools.
The vision. mission and strategic obJ"eth"ves agreed prewousty was refreshed.
Despite a difficult funding climate, the charty conts.nued its Work to support schcds wrth guidance,
information, training and resources. Some of the ath"vities delivered during the year indude..

The chanty has provided educatsonal training. guidance and support to over 100 schools. M has
undertaken other activits'es as follows".

PUBLIC BENEFIT sTATEmE￿r
The Trustees haveconsidered the genefal guidance on public benefil issved bythe Charity Commission
and has taken due regard of that guidance. The Trustees consider that they are satisfied that the
charity's activities have benefited Ihe wblic as it has advanced education for the benefit of schools and
their pupils. It has enhanced the quality of tead)ing wthin schools and developed teachers into more
competent professionals.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
The income for the period was £1,91,371.00, last year which was a £151786.00 The charty continued
to hold training events and the expenditure incurred for the year was £175256.00. The trustees do not
have a fomial rese¥Nes policy but have agreed to maintain reserves for 3 months of administrative costs
to cater for loss of income so that there is ccfitinuity in tems of the main office operation.
The trustees intend to seek more donalions from Irusts and foundatyons in the ftjlure.
PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS
The charity would like to conb.nue to develop the services futher by attracting more people and schools
to attend events. This will help to meet Ihe needs of the putlic and the needs of the schools.
We incurred a defi￿t during the year due to reduced income and increased workload. We have put in
place a mibgats.ng plan In place and intend to raise additsonal funding to sustain the future work If the
charity.
Statement of Trustees. Responsibilities:
Under the Charrties A£t 2011, the trustees are required to prepa￿ a statement of accounts
for each finanaal year which gives a true and fair view of the stsle of affairs of the charty at the
end of the finanaal year and of the incoming recourses in the year. In preparing the statement
the trustees are required to-.

"Stale whelher applicable acccMJnting standards and statements of
recommended practice has been followed, subject to any material
departures disdosed and explained in thvststements of acc(NJnts.

it is Inappropriate to presume that the charty wll ojntinue its operations.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disdose wth reasonable
accuracy at any lime the finanaal position of the charity at that trme and lo enable the trustees to ensure
that any statement of account prepare(I by them complies the regulth'ons under section 130 of the
Charities Act 2011.They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the trust and hence for
taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detethon of fraud and other Irregulanties.

The Charity's tTUStees are responsible for the preparation of the aeeounts. The charitys tTUStees
consider that an audit is not required for this yeai under Secb'on 44 of the Charib'es Act 2011 Ilhe
Charibes Act) and that an independent examinab.on is needed.
It is my responsibility to..

Basis of independent examinerfs statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with general directs.ons giNtn by the Chanty
Commission. An examination includes Teview of the accounb.ng records kept by the charity and a
compan50n of the accounts pesented with those recods. 11 also includes considerabon of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanats.ons from the Iruslees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not pro￿de all the ewdence that would be required in an audit,
and consequentty no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a'lrue and fairf wew and the
