**Objects:** 1.  THE RELIEF OF PATIENTS AT THE HEAD AND NECK CENTRE OF THE ROYAL SHREWSBURY HOSPITAL NHS TRUST BY THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE ACQUISITION OF NEW EQUIPMENT AND FACILITATES AND TO FUND THE TRAINING OF SURGEONS AND MEDICAL STAFF AND TO SUPPORT THE CHARITABLE WORK OF THE CENTRE PROVIDED THAT IN DOING SO THE TRUST SHALL NOT RELIEVE ANY LOCAL AUTHORITY, RELEVANT HEALTH SERVICE TRUST OR OTHER BODY OF ANY OF ITS STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS.   2.  TO PROMOTE OR UNDERTAKE RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE FIELD OF HEAD AND NECK TREATMENTS AND TO DISSEMINATE THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH.

**Activities:** The Shropshire and Mid-Wales Head and Neck Charity has been established with the aim of providing facilities, equipment and training to treat patients (children and adults) with Head and Neck conditions. This includes ear and hearing problems, nose problems, cataract and eye problems, mouth and throat problems as well as major head and neck cancers.
