Elfridges 2025 P&L
Always one of our favourite events, this year’s Elfridges raised a fantastic £764.20, just £15.80 under forecast.
Christmas PJ Party 2025 P&L
The PJ party after costs of refreshments and renewing the film licence made a brilliant profit of £693.19. This is £128.19 above the forecast and the licence can be used for other events throughout the year. It is also higher than an amount previously declared as there was an additional £96 of ticket sales when the school reconciled Arbor with the bank.
Christmas Wreath Making 2025 P&L
This was an extra event added that we knew would be low profit, but would be a fun adults only event following feedback that parents would like more of these. Unfortunately we only sold 7 places, but it was very much enjoyed by those who attended and raised £70, against a forecast of £100 (based on selling 10 places).
Christmas 2025 Raffle
We offered £100 from the takings as the star prize and managed to get a lovely selection of other prizes donated. The raffle was very well supported by the school community and raised a total of £1,118.80 after costs, which was £183.80 more than forecast.
Current Balance
The current balance stands at £31,192.95 in bank, plus £100 float in treasurer’s possession and takings from before Christmas that will be banked end of January when the Chair is available to accompany the existing treasurer to the bank.
Summary of the Year
The financial year ran 01/08/24-31/07/25. This is the period accounting for charitable organisations is based on.
The income for the above period was £42,856.75 with expenditure of £44,193.50. This includes the £20,000 donation to the school, plus £1,000 Tesco Blue Token and £2,460 buddy bench award.
For 2025 we brought in having a budget and forecast fundraising target. This runs calendar year as opposed to charity financial year, to be in line with the AGM. Our original forecast was to make a profit of £21,427.50, but this was revised down slightly when we decided not to have the Christmas fayre to be £20,291.82. In the end, with the brilliant addition of the £2,000 Police Auction grant, we achieved a profit for 2025 of £22,847.80, which was £2,636.98 ahead of the revised forecast.
It was agreed that we would donate £18,000 to the school, which are still able to do, and we are pleased that we can donate an additional £2,000 from the Police Auction to be expressly spent on new Chromebooks to support children’s understanding of staying safe online.
