Church in the Barn Charity no. 1103157 Trustees Annual Report

The trustees present their annual report for the year ended 31 August 2021.

The Church has continued to see attendance increase, with over 70 at the morning service and over 50 at night, and around 10 joining us regularly to watch the live stream on Facebook.

As well as our two Sunday services and Sunday School we offer a variety of other events – house groups in various locations mid-week, bible studies, Soul Disciple, and a monthly prayer meeting.

We have also restarted a Youth Club on a Friday night.

The charity’s income from regular tithes and offerings has increased slightly from £40k to £42k. On top of this we received donations towards the new building of £10k and grants of £30k, bringing our total income including Gift Aid to £88k.

The running costs of the church have increased slightly, from £39k to £42k due to the employment of Jari Burnard part time as a Youth Worker.

We spend a further £38k on the building in the year. The smaller hall, kitchen, toilets, crèche and office are all finished and in use, and we are quite well on with the main hall, with the hope that this can be finished in 2023.

Again we would like to thank our congregation and the external supporters and grant bodies that have supported us during the year.
