Trustees’ Annual Report **For the Year Ended 31[st] March 2024**

## **Achievements and performance**

We continue to enjoy the advantages and benefits of leasing our church building. Last year we were able to send out several impact teams to various cities and nations, including, Wembley, Leeds, Sutton, Liverpool, Edgware, Bounds Green, and Seville (Spain).

We also had several revivals with overseas and local ministers, and we had a choir come from Sutton which drew several visitors. In the month of April 2023, we secured another building in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, for outreach purposes. This was a great opportunity to outreach in a completely different area. The building had to undergo a lot of work to bring it up to standard, and a pledge was raised to finance the works. The church was extremely excited about this opportunity to have another building to minister from and members contributed financially and with their time to help renovate the building. A pledge was raised and £2,800 was received from the members. The total cost to renovate was just under £5,600. This was eventually opened in September with bible studies and games nights every Friday.

We continue to be involved in world evangelism, partnering with our mother church, supporting overseas works monthly. I was privileged to have the opportunity to go to various nations to minister the gospel, including Botswana, and Zimbabwe.

## **Financial review**

We are thankful that the churches finances have begun to improve again this year.

## **Declaration**

The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees’ report above. Signed on behalf of the charity’s trustees

## **INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS**

# **To the Trustees of**

## **Potter House Christian Centre Nottingham For the Year Ended 31 March 2024**

## **Charity number 1103146**

I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31[st] March 2024, which are set out on Pages 6 and 7

## **Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner**

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

## It is my responsibility to:

- Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act;

- to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and

- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement**

My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

4

## **(Continued from page 4)**

## **Independent examiner’s statement**

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:

(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:

- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and

- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act

have not been met; or

(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
