The trustees present their rewrt together with the accounts of the tn]st for the year ended 31 December
2020. The trustres have adopted the provisions of the Statement of Rcwrnlncnded Pra¢tice- ( SORP
FRS 102) and The Charities Act 2011.The trust have referred to the guidance in the Charity
Commission's general guidance on public benefil when reviewing the aim and objeaives and in planning
the charity's futwe activities. In particular. the trustees consider how planned activitie5 will contribute to
the aims and objectives set.
Structure. GoverDance and M*nagement
Governing document
The In￿ is ¢orL8tituted by a Trust Deed and registerol with the Charity Commission under the charity
number 1102943.
Risk mADagemeDt
The trustees are responsible for the management of risks faced by the charity. The trustees have
undertaken a fvll risk assessment of the organisation and have introduced various key controls. These
controls are reviewed annually.
The tr￿Ste¢S are satisfi¢d that the major risks identified have been adequ21ely mitigated where necessary.
It is recognized that SY￿emS can only provide rv&sonable but not absolute assurance thai major risks have

natural cau5e5, wars. contlicL8' foreign and domestic by the provision of financial or other
assistance including medicines. hospitals, shelter, fcthj. clothing, sanitation and clean drinking
water.
2. Advancing the education of those in need and orphans anywhere in the world by th¢ provision
of trdining centres. workshops and education centres.
3. The relief of poverty. sickness and di5tre55 in the world.

Review of Activities and public benefit
The results for the year under review are as shown in the attached Financial Statements. The trustees have
come to an understsnding that the loca] communiry in UK need5 grealer help and d¢v¢lopment. Since we
moved to the new site at Carlton Vale. Rumi's Cave projea expanded several folds. The old siie is
still operational for smaller projects. The following activities were organized during the year under
review..
Three retreats were organized but the one in Mardkesh for our young professionals went ahead bui
the ones in Spain and Turkey were wicelled du¢ to the pandemic and lockdown.
RUMI'S ACADEMY
Due to lockdown, the academy could noi kK)Id its course5. talks. serninars and workshops at the
pretnise5 but most of them were delivered online through zwm . Virtual advice surgeries were
provided io those who were having ditTiculties to cope with the lockdown and these activities have
greatly helped children and their families.
This year the charity continued with the following programs:
l. Feeding the homeless daily
2. A food bank
3. Weekend online courses for young kids
4. An advice Surgery to dvdl with medical. financial, legal. spiritual and governmental issues.
RUMI'S KITCHEN Continued lo be a m¢an5 for helping the homeless by providing hot meals and
companionship s[￿lalIY during lockdown where the homeless were expxrien¢ing great hardship.
The charity increased its scale of operation due to r¢&wns noted above by delivering food to the
elderly atNI to those who could not leave their home5.
Rumi organized winter hamper5 to the homeless for over homeless people. Each hamFtr
included sleeping bags, blanket, scarf, gloves, socks and hats. The volunteer5 went to reach all
those who w¢re not aware of the progrdm or could not attend.
The Rumi'5 Cave project has been very successful due to Ihe volunteers lo whom the
trLL8tees want to thank for their hard work and dedication. The trustees bank on their
support and dedication at a time when our services are most needed by the homeless and
vulnerable people during to ihe pandemic.

The charity has started the iniual phw of the Sudan project for widows and orphans. The project ¢onsists
of buildin8 8 village with hon*s. clinic. woikshops and other facilities. The p]au for the village has aiT¢ady
been drawn and presented ￿ the Sudanese authorities for appro*al. Tbe estimatrd cosi of the proje¢t is over
£750.0(M) but this projeci will be ruu jointly with EDF. 8 Turkish Charity currenily opernling ill Sudan. Due
to the unstabk condition itk Sudan. the project is tell4￿￿llY stopped until the condition in the country
becomes stabk.

TO THE TRUSTEES OF ULFA AID TRUST
I report on the accounts of the Trust for the ycar ended 31 D￿ember 2020, which are Set out on pages
6t0 11.
Respective responsibilities of trustees 2nd examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparaiion of the accounts. The charity'5 trustee5 eonsider
thai an audii is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 201 l and that an
independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of ihe Act. and
to slate whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basi5 of independent examiner's statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions by the Charity Commission.
An ¢xaminaiion includes a review of the accounting record5 kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented wilh those records. It also includes consideralion of any unusual items or disclosures
in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a true and fair view and the report
is limited to those matters set out in the statement.

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention
(l ) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect. the requirements..
to keep accounting records in accordance with seciion 130 of the 2011 Act. and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting
r¢quir¢m¢nis of the Charities Aci 201 l and SORP (FRS 102)
have not been met or

received for the purw)se of educating persons in need and orphans. relieving poverty, sickness and distress
caused by naiural di&uters. wars and ¢onfiicrs are taken io restricied funds. Restricted funds are to be used
for the specific purposes as laid down by the donor. All donations are accounted for as and when received
by the chority.

Resources expended are accounted for on an ac¢n]8] b￿ls. The irrecoverable element of VAT is included
with the item of expenge to which it relates.
