Welcome to the twentieth Annual General Meeting of our charity. This year has gone well. In December we signed a new 5 year lease. This is set at £11.500 per annum until December 2027 when it will be reviewed and will, no doubt, increase again. This will impact on our finances over the year | but we are in a good position at the moment due to the rise in attendance figures but it is surprising how quickly funds can be used up.
Our tombola this year did not go quite to plan but in the end we made over £170 so many thanks for your support. We also had small donation from the U3A coffee fund and | was invited to speak at one of their meetings to explain what we do.
We had a successful clean up of the outside area in June and thank you to all who helped. Our leaky toilet has been mended and the south barge board has been fixed. As always its an on going task to keep the building up to standard and if anyone has any time or inclination to do some painting or general maintenance it would be much appreciated.
At last we are in a position to offer Cardiac Rehab Phase 4 classes as Tiffiny has completed her training. We look forward to an on going collaboration with Dorset Council Active 4 Health Hub and the Cardiac Rehab team in Dorchester. Our classes have been well attended with Pilates and Circuits being especially popular. We continue to provide a good range of classes both specialised and general.
| think you will agree that our instructors are first class and always go the extra mile to make sessions cheerful and appropriate. We thank them for their continued support and professionalism. Your committee (trustees) have worked hard making sure the charity runs smoothly with all the relevant policies and insurances in place. | personally thank them for their fantastic support and enthusiasm.
Our thanks also go to anyone who as helped in any way to make Knees Up the asset that it undoubtably is. We look forward to another great year.
