Trustees are elected annually at the Annual General Mee�ng (AGM). The commi�ee meets at least every two months to oversee the governance and administra�on of the charity. All trustees are volunteers and have responsibility for the overall management and control of the charity. ## **Objec�ves and Ac�vi�es** ## **Charitable Objec�ves** The charity’s objec�ve is to organise events to help raise money for the pupils at Chyngton School. ## In se�ng objec�ves and planning ac�vi�es, the trustees have given due considera�on to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit. During the year, the charity organised a variety of fundraising and community engagement events, including: Summer Fair School discos A�er-school cra� and sports clubs Pre-loved uniform sales, cake sales, and ice-pop sales Cra� compe��ons, including pumpkin and bauble decora�ng Funds raised were applied to support the school and enhance the experience of its pupils. ## **Achievements and Performance** The charity has had a successful year, raising a total income of £33,963 through fundraising events, grants, and dona�ons. An £8,000 grant was secured to support the con�nua�on of the Chapter One programme in the following financial year. resources, enabling the charity to achieve its highest level of fundraising to date. The trustees also acknowledge the support of Morrisons and the Stephen Lawrence Trust. Key achievements during the year include: Funding a new trim trail (£23,480) Suppor�ng school trips and providing breakfast for Year 6 pupils during SATs week (£1,533) Funding Chapter One, a reading ini�a�ve for EYFS and KS1 pupils (£2,250) **Chyngton School PTA, year-end 31 August 2025** Events were well a�ended and contributed posi�vely to strengthening the school community. ## **Financial Review** ## **Financial Posi�on** The charity’s total income for the year was £33,963, derived primarily from fundraising ac�vi�es, grants, and dona�ons. Total expenditure for the year was £33,578. These included costs associated with fundraising events, educa�onal resources, and contribu�ons to school projects, including the trim trail. ## **Reserves Policy** balance to meet planned expenditure, fund events in advance, and provide a con�ngency for unforeseen costs. ## **Risk Management** The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed and have implemented systems to mi�gate these risks. These include: Safeguarding procedures for all events involving children Health and safety measures for all ac�vi�es and events ## 2011 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission. As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the prepara�on of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Chari�es Act 2011 (“the Act”). I report in respect of my examina�on of the Trust’s accounts carried out under sec�on 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examina�on, I have followed all the applicable Direc�ons given by the Charity Commission under sec�on 145(5)(b) of the Act. connec�on with the examina�on (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: - the accoun�ng records were not kept in accordance with sec�on 130 of the Chari�es Act; or - the accounts did not accord with the accoun�ng records; or - the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Chari�es (Accounts and Reports) Regula�ons 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a ma�er considered as part of an independent examina�on. I have no concerns and have come across no other ma�ers in connec�on with the examina�on to which a�en�on should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
