Over the past year, the Trust has remained firmly committed to its mission of advancing education, relieving hardship, and supporting vulnerable communities both in the UK and overseas. Through the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our trustees and volunteers, we have continued to deliver meaningful and lasting impact. Our work has supported homeless individuals and refugees within the UK, while internationally we have sustained vital funding for special education centres, vocational training programmes, and welfare initiatives in Pakistan. These programmes have helped children and young adults—particularly those with special educational needs—gain skills, dignity, and improved opportunities for longterm independence. Established on the principles of compassion, responsibility, and service, the Trust works to remove barriers to education and provide practical support to those who need it most. Guided by a committed and highly skilled team of trustees and volunteers, the Trust operates with a clear mission: to create meaningful, long-term impact rather than short-term relief. Our work focuses on empowering individuals through education, vocational training, and welfare support, enabling beneficiaries to develop independence, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods. At the heart of the Trust’s operations is a diverse and experienced leadership team, bringing together expertise in education, finance, governance, healthcare, and community development. This breadth of experience allows the Trust to operate effectively both within the UK and internationally, ensuring strong oversight, responsible use of funds, and alignment with Charity Commission guidance. This Annual Report outlines the Trust’s structure, objectives, activities, and financial position for the year ended 31 March 2025. IQRA EDUCATIONAL TRUST YEAR 2025 ## **UK ACTIVITIES** Within the UK, IQRA Educational Trust continued to support vulnerable individuals and communities through targeted funding and collaboration with trusted partner organisations. The Trust provided donations to organisations such as Helping Hands, helping to support homeless individuals with access to food, basic necessities, and essential support services. The Trust successfully delivered its Annual Fundraising Event, which raised significant funds and increased awareness of its charitable work. The event also served as a platform for education and engagement, including presentations addressing global humanitarian crises, such as the ongoing situation in Gaza. Regular funding was also provided to food distribution initiatives, ensuring consistent assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity. These contributions helped maintain continuity of support for those most in need throughout the year. In addition, the Trust supported smaller niche charities through grants and collaborative working, enabling these organisations to extend their reach and deliver specialised support within their communities. This approach allowed the Trust to maximise impact by working alongside organisations with local knowledge and established networks. IQRA EDUCATIONAL TRUST YEAR 2025 ## **OVERSEAS ACHIEVMENTS** With the continued support and generosity of our donors, IQRA Educational Trust delivered sustained and meaningful impact overseas throughout the year, particularly across the Punjab region of Pakistan. Our overseas work remains focused on supporting vulnerable children, individuals with disabilities, and disadvantaged families through education, welfare, and skills-based initiatives. The Trust continued its long-standing support of special needs schools across Punjab, providing essential funding to help improve learning environments and access to education for children with physical and learning disabilities. This support included the provision of educational materials, learning aids, and resources that enable schools to meet the complex needs of their students and improve day-to-day learning outcomes. During the month of Ramadan, the Trust distributed over 200 food packs to families living in hard-to-reach and economically deprived communities. These food packs provided vital nutritional support during a period when many families face increased financial pressure, helping to ensure dignity and food security at a critical time of the year. In response to harsh winter conditions, the Trust funded the distribution of warm clothing to children attending supported schools and community centres. Items such as coats, sweaters, and shawls helped protect children from cold weather, reduced illness, and enabled continued school attendance during the winter months. The Trust also extended support to minority Christian families during the Christmas period, recognising the additional hardship faced by minority communities. This assistance included the provision of clothing and essential items, offering relief and demonstrating the Trust’s commitment to inclusivity and compassion across all communities. In addition to immediate welfare support, the Trust prioritised long-term empowerment through the establishment and funding of vocational resources, including sewing machines and related equipment. These resources enabled young women and adults to acquire practical skills, improve employability, and generate sustainable income, helping families move towards greater independence and economic stability. IQRA EDUCATIONAL TRUST YEAR 2025 ## **FUTURE PRIORITES 2026 AND BEYOND** Building on the progress achieved during the year, IQRA Educational Trust remains committed to expanding its reach and deepening its impact in the years ahead. The Trustees have identified several key priority areas that will guide the Trust’s strategic direction and ensure continued delivery of meaningful public benefit. Within the UK, the Trust intends to grow community engagement and fundraising activities. By strengthening relationships with local communities, donors, and partner organisations, the Trust seeks to increase awareness of its work, broaden its supporter base, and ensure the sustainability of its charitable programmes. A central focus will be the expansion of inclusive education programmes, particularly for children and young people with special educational needs. The Trust aims to strengthen existing partnerships with special needs schools while extending support to additional centres, ensuring improved access to tailored learning resources, specialist equipment, and supportive learning environments. The Trust also plans to increase its overseas humanitarian aid projects, with a continued emphasis on education and welfare. This includes responding to urgent humanitarian needs while maintaining long-term investment in education-led initiatives that promote independence, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable communities. Infrastructure support will remain a key area of focus. Planned initiatives include the provision of school furniture, mobility aids, and essential supplies to educational institutions and community facilities. These investments are designed to create safer, more accessible environments that support learning and inclusion for all beneficiaries. Finally, the Trustees are committed to strengthening governance, transparency, and impact reporting. Ongoing improvements in financial oversight, programme monitoring, and reporting processes will ensure the Trust continues to operate to the highest standards of accountability, in line with Charity Commission guidance and donor expectations. As Chairman, Mr Qari provides strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the Trust remains true to its mission and values. His commitment, integrity, and deep understanding of community needs have played a central role in shaping the Trust’s long-term vision and sustained impact. In his role as Chief of Fundraising, Mr Qari leads the development of fundraising initiatives that enable the Trust to expand its programmes and respond effectively to humanitarian needs. As Treasurer, Mr Hasnain provides oversight of the Trust’s financial position, supporting the Board of Trustees with clear, accurate, and timely financial information.
