SPRINGS CHURCH (A registered charity)

REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES

The Trustees present their annual report along with the financial statements of the charity for the period ending 31st December 2020. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities Act, 2011 using the receipts and payment basis and have been independently audited

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE & MANAGEMENT

The charity is administered in accordance with the constitution adopted in 2004. The Trustees of the charity are Mr Paul Hiley (Chair); Mr John Lechler; Mr Aiden Wood, Mrs Jacqueline Wood (Secretary) and

Pastor Catherine Hills.

CHARITABLE STATUS

The Declaration of Charitable Trusts was signed on 10 February 2004. Copies of this deed are held by the Trustees and Messrs Robinsons, Solicitors.

RELEVANT ORGANISATIONS

OBJECTIVES & ACTIVITIES

The objectives of the charity are as follows:

  1. The advancement of the Christian faith and the worship of God in the United Kingdom and overseas by any means whatsoever including (but not by way of limitation) the preaching and proclamation of the Christian Gospel and the teaching of Christian doctrine and the principles and the pastoral care of Christian people and the printing and distribution of the Bible and Christian literature including video and audio recordings or tapes and by any other media which is or may become available.

  2. The Worldwide advancement of education on the basis of Christian principles and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the provisions of such education in any educational establishment and if the Trustees so decide the provision of one or more charitable education establishments for the general education of children or adults on the basis of such Christian principle.

  3. The furtherance of the other charitable work of the church consistently with the above.

It should be noted that the Trust has no assets involving property, vehicles or investments. A summary balance sheet is found on page 6

BANKING

The Church has two accounts with its bankers, current & savings. No charges for this service have been made. Interest is received on one of the accounts.

2. Grant Funded Activities

Springs Church has been awarded the following Grants:

communities, in particular those who are isolated
within those communities.
2020 Lincolnshire County Council Emergency Response 2097
Fund to offer support to families outside the local
area during the Covid restrictions.

isolated people in the Caistor area
2020 Lincolnshire County Council Grant to provide a 28
Christmas Gift to all attendees of the lunchclubs in
Nettleton and North Kelsey who had been unable to
meet through much of 2020.
