Tke cotnpany's principal activity was and remains that of raising charitable income for the tnaintenance, develop￿ellt
and geTr#Tal welfare of William EIILS School. As William Ellis School ￿ a state.fi¥nded cotnprehensive school, all the
COLupany's activitL¢8 are designed to furtkner its charitable pulposes for tLe public benofit,
Th¢ company was tncorporatsd on 22 August 2002 as a company limit#d by guar￿tee,
The company operates as a non-profit making organisatioTr and is a registered ch&rity, number 1102334, The tru8tees
tneet regularly to manage the affairs of the charity.
Tkne illvestmellt pollcy of the company is to adopt a risk averse approach. The trustees hav¢ examilled other operatiollal
ancl busino8s risks faced by the cbarity alld Collfjm Ib&t they have established sy8tsms tv mitigats the 8LgDificant riskE.
Within the 2Q24125 fu￿nci&L year the Tru8t provided £85,534 tn direct funding to WtIliarn Ellis School, Th? vast
rtLajority of this funding wa8 to 8UPPOrt the sc&ool with capital costs and trustees were pleased to be able to ￿lld the
creation of a new IT suite within the school, as well as replacing seating acTO8S the scienco departllellt ¢la88rooms.
Additionalty, tho Trust provided its required IOYO COlltributlOll to unlock the ftLll agreed hllding from the School
Condition Allocation which was used oll a uumb¢r of projects within the school. Tho Trust also wovided award thdillg
for a student w￿0 had perforned the highest wÉthin the Sciences via the Syd Aldridge A ward, Syd is a fornier pupil and
w¢ll known s¢ientLSt in Canada who remains a great friend to the Trust.
Significant activities during the year
tn J&niiary 2025 the Trust appoillted its fJT8t evei Director who started work on fvfarcb Ioth 2025. The Director of the
Trust is a varied role worlatig across fi￿draising, progratn development and conlrllunity ellgagetnent &s woll a8 raising
aw&en¢ss of t￿¢ worlc of the Trust and I'he sc&ool it primarily supports. Over the course of the next financial year tb¢
Director will bo WOTking to develop tde Trust strategy For the next three y¢ars, ckvaloping inllovative progr&ms with t￿¢
school that the Trust can f￿ld and support 8s well &s beginlling to bring togelE]er different parts OF the school COLJmuttity
with a particular focu8 Oll the school alun]ni conllnunity. The rul¢ 8hould allow the Trust lo signifioantly incre￿¢ the
worlc it does with and on behalf of the sc&ool and all truste¢8 are lookin(r forW￿d to seetng what we call achieve 83 an

Review of results for the year
The accounts for the year show n¢t illcome of £52,272 (2024 incoming r¢sources U9,308). Most of the incoraillg
rosources in 2023 relito to a substantial donation of £IOO,000 n&d¢ during the year.
The deficit for the year was £64,890 £ (2024 (£43,459) surplus.
Tot&1 ￿lld5 carried fonvard were £L,818,560 (2024 £1,883,450).

time of financial stringency,
In the opinion of the tLWStees the assets of the charity available and adequate to ￿lfIl its oblKgations, Althougb thete

review of investment poli¢y in order lo best protect the charity's capital reserves.
