The RCCG (Redeemed Christian Church of God) Garden of Hope International is established for the advancement of the Christian faith worldwide in accordance with the doctrines set out in the Statement of Faith contained in the Schedule, and also for the relief of poverty

Fixed assets

Full disclosures on all matters relating to fixed assets are set out in note 5 to the financial statements.

HIGHLIGHTS OF ACHIEVEMENT FOR THE YEAR

We welcomed more members and families to join the congregation. That was a blessing.

We also helped organise joint events with local churches. These were events that involved our local communities and helped to build unity amongst our different congregations. This was a football tournament that was held in football grounds and supported by local footie coaches. There was also a joint Family Fun day in the park with the local police, and the community.

Statements of trustees’ responsibilities

Charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity at the year end and of its incoming resources and resources expended during that year. The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 1993. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
