NGR Treasurer Report AGM Mon 13/04/2026
2025 income highlights:
Income and expenditure up on 2024 figures, however overall balance increased from Jan 2025 to EOY Dec 2025.
Assets in charity savings accounts remained static but earned £5238 in interest over the period.
GBGB Bond scheme continues to be the biggest income stream for NGR, followed by adoption donations from people who have rehomed dogs. Other income comes from donations through online platforms and donations generated through activities where the charity engages the public and supporters hosting events with the intention of donating the proceeds to the cause
2024 expenditure highlights:
Biggest regular spend throughout the year is kennel bills, these costs increased in 2025. NGR has to be fluid with the amount of dogs they have in kennels, as soon as one gets adopted another is waiting to come into the charity. High priority cases need to be catered for at short notice. Funds are kept to cater for any unforeseen events which could require extra kennel capacity at extra cost to the charity, routine kennelling costs are circa £7.5k per month, additional dogs to the normal intake extend that figure exponentially depending on how many might require shelter
Vets bills are the next biggest expense, this is true year on year. Annual cost varies depending on the welfare needs of dogs who come through the charity. 2025 costs increased on the 2024 figure
Daily running costs of the charity don’t vary much year to year and 2025 is no different. No one at the charity gets a wage but the charity does have expenses such as annual insurance and stocks of consumables such as collars, leads, coats etc all of which are sourced and paid for when required
