2024 income highlights:
Adoption fees reflect the number of dogs adopted, in 2023 there was an income of £13,885 and during 2024 £15,840
GBGB Bond scheme is major income for NGR, in its infancy last year but still generated £17,600 and this year almost double at £30,300.
New for 2024 is interest earned from funds put into reserve - £4878 across the period, that figure will lessen as interest rates drop possibly eventually returning back to the days of not too long ago when bank savings accounts were operating at a just above zero percentage but worthy while rates remain favourable
PayPal continues to be a steady stream of revenue not really increasing or decreasing from year to year, its largely anonymous other than having an account or an email address unless people leave a note with the donation – and PayPal take a small percentage of the original amount donated
Annual events continue to be worthy source of income
2024 expenditure highlights:
Biggest regular spend throughout the year is kennel bills, in 2023 they were £51,859 and 2024 £56,920
Vets bills are the next biggest expense, in 2023 NGR spent £6405 and in 2024 spent £3558 so a saving made in 2024 but it is a figure that can’t be predicted.
Spending outside of daily operating costs was insignificant in 2024
There were 3 items which represent a spend for financial gain they were :-
£1300 was spent with the Great British Greyhound board which was offset by a £30,300 return from them
There was a spend of £983 on branded clothing which generated a return of £1809
Great north run places have been reserved at a cost of £469, the return will be seen after September when the race has taken place

Independent Examlnerfs Report to the Trustees of Northumberland Greyhound Rescue I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Northumberland Greyhound Rescue (the Trust) for the year ended 31 December 2024. Responslbllltles and Basls of Report As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {'the ACV). I report in respect of my examination of the Trusvs accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examinatlon I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under sertion 145{5}(b) of the Art. Independent Examlnerfs Statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
