## **Structure, governance and management** 

Zindagi Trust UK is a charitable organisation governed by its governing document and managed by the trustees, who are responsible for ensuring that the charity complies with its legal and regulatory obligations. 

## **Objectives and activities** 

The charity’s principal objective is the advancement of education and training for public benefit. Activities during the year were carried out in furtherance of these charitable purposes. 

## **Public benefit** 

The trustees confirm that they have had due regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and believe that the charity’s activities during the year have provided public benefit. 

## **Financial review** 

During the year, the charity received total incoming resources of **£36,527** (2024: £nil). T l d d d **£228** (2024 £3 226) l i i **l f** 



Total resources expended amounted to **£228** (2024: £3,226), resulting in a **net surplus of £36,314** (2024: deficit £3,226). 

## **Reserves policy** 

The trustees aim to maintain a modest level of reserves sufficient to meet ongoing running costs and future project commitments. 

## **Plans for future periods** 

The trustees intend to continue developing the charity’s educational activities and to seek further funding opportunities to support its charitable objectives.

## **Trustees’ Responsibilities Statement** 

The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees’ Annual Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and the Charities Act 2011. 

The trustees are required to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming 

- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; 

- observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP (FRS 102); 

- make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and 

- prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in operation. 

The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the charity’s transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
