Its trustees are parents of children or friends of Read School. The work of the charity relies on volunteers from the statt and parents of the school. Charitable Objectives The charity exists to support the school community by raising funds for educational programs, resources. and facilities. It fosters relationships between parents. staff. and students, encourages parental involvement. and enhances student well-being through various initiatives. Through these efforts, the PFA contributes to creating a positive and inclusive environment. enriching the overall educational experience for all students. Achievement and Performance During the year the charity raised almost £30.000 through lottery grants. donations and fundraising activities to support the objectives of the charity. The main source of this income was from organised events which took place throughout the year in addition to a lottery grant which was received for £11,705. During the year the charity organised and supported several events including a winter ball, fashion show and artisan helping to raise over £17.000. During the year the charity spent over £20,000 including funding over £10.000 on supporting its charitable aims ancl incurring expenses of £10,000 for stock and other items for the purposes of our fundraising activities. Financial Performance The charity ended the year with funds of over £23,000 which includèd the lottery grant which will be used to create a community garden. The remaining funds will be used to support the objectives of the charity into the future. Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 I'the Act'l. I report in respect of my examin8tion of the Trust's accounts Carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed 811 the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act. Independentexaminer's statement I have completed my examination.
