We addressed the risk of managemenl override by lesling the approprialeness of journal entries and olh8r adjuslmenls, evaluating accounting eslimales for potential bias. and reviewing significant or non-routine Iransaclions for legitimacy and proper aulhorizalion. Because of th8 inherent limitations of an audit, Ihere is a risk that we will not detect all irregularities, including those leading lo a material misstalemenl in the financial slalements or non-compliance with regulation. World Memon Organlsatlon Charitable Foundation NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 Income adjustments In previous years, the Charlty adopted a pollcy of recognising zakat donations and conlributions from Truslees direGtly within the restricted reseNe, subsequently transferring these amounls to the Statement of Financial Acllvities upon disbursement. This approach was not compliant wilh the Charities SORP <FRS 102). Consequently, the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023 reflecled an overslatemenl of zakat donations amounting to $206,201 and understalemenl of contributions from Truste8s amounting to $79,769 respectively. In year ended 31 Decembèr 2023, investment income of $44,779 was received, however, $g8,252 was recognised in the financial slat8ments. Consequenily. investment Income was overstated by $53.473 Expenditure adjustments Support costs amounting lo $114,758 w8r6 incorrectly cl88sified under "Ralsing funds" rather than "Charltable 8Ctivities.'
