OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES The object of the charity is to promote the benefit for the inh<ibitants and primarily the Muslim inhabitants of Altrincham, Cheshire and the sUound1g areas without distinction and in particiilar: To advance the Islamic fiL ith in accordance with the Qur, an and the Sunnah of ihe Prophet Miihammad (peace be upon him). To advance the education of the general Pliblic. and in particular those of ihe Muslim community. To provide facilities for recre<1tion or other leisure time occupation for the said inh<lbitants in the interests of social welfare with the objecl of improving their conditions of life. To eslabli8h or seciire the establishment of a centre and to maintain and manage the same in furtherance of ihe <ibove objects. How oiir fictivitles provide a public benefit The Trustees have given diie consideraiion to the Charity Commission's published guid¢ince on tlie Public Benefit requirement under the Charities Aci 2011. AHMA Crflrries out a wide range of activilies in pursiiance of its charitable aims. The Trustees consider ihal these activities, summLirised below, provide benefit to those who attend oiir facilities and the wider community of Alirincham, Cheshire and the surroiinding areas. Religioiis activities Priiyers: Tlie Mosque is open all day for daily and Friday prayers. During the week we have over 100 people who regulLirly attend daily pr2< yers and over 800 who regularly attend Friday prayers. Fesliv<lls- The Mosque prep<1res food diiriThE Ramadan for those attending our Mosque who wish to break their fast together. Eid was also celebrated at the Mosque wilh a family day and conimiinal meal. We also facilitale the Eid prayers at external Ioccil venues. Nikkcih- The Mosque provides Miislim couples wich ic n c2ppropriale location for their Nikkah (Isl¢iinic miirriryc ge). Hifz classes: Mcmoris¢ltion of tlie Qiir'an is considered ¢1n iit]portanl element of religioiis edLICi2lion and trcoining. We conliniie lo provide this faciliiy for the young people in the Mosqiie. We are pleased with tliis progi<imine wliich continLies to riin siiccessfiilly with over 20 yOLiiig people regiilarly attending tliese classes. Islamic <2wareness: We hold montlily talks 011 a variety of topics. We use this platform to promote inter-faith dialogue and social cohesion. Community activities Our communily hall and rooms provide a valuable educational and recreational resoiirce to all in oiir commiinity. A wide variety of aclivities are organised and take place from our community cenlre. Hall and rooms: Our hall and meeting rooms are used for a variety of activicies, including the mother and toddler group. coffee mornings and youih activity programs. School siipport project.. We have a very Ic Ctive Schools ieam, which engi¢ ges with local schools by offering to visil the schools or for the schools to visii Ihe Mosque. Yoiith C<imp: Anniially we take between 30-35 boys and girls to separigie weekend residential youth camps in Colomendy. This helps them to develop valiiable skills siich as team building, commiinicaiion and discipline. FINANCIAL REVIEW The stalenienl of financigLI activities for the year ending 31$¢ Decemlyr 2024 shows incoming resoiirces of £283,686 (2023: £238.001) and resources expended of £198,454 (2023: £170,076), generating a surpliis of income over expenditiire totalling £85,232 (2023: £67,925). The main reason for the increase in nel SLirplus in the year has been an increase in nomial donations income despile an increase ingovernik nce costs and donalions made out for charitable purposes. Reserves policy The trustees hiive reviewed tlie reserves of ihe charity. Their policy is to hold enoiigh funds to the operating costs of the Mosque for at leasi 12 monihs. AHMA had iinrestrieted reserves of £476,456 (2023: £372.137).
