Activities
The aim of the Trust is to promote the education, in its widest sense, of young people under the age of 25. The young person or their parent must be a member or attender of a meeting of the Religious Society of Friends within the areas of Cumberland, Durham or Scotland General Meetings.
Objects: Promoting The Education, Including Education In The Principals And Beliefs Of The Religious Society Of Friends, Of Persons Under The Age Of 25 Years Who Are Members Of Or Regular Attenders At Meetings Of Or Who Have A Parent Who Is A Member Of Or Regular Attender At Meetings Of The Religious Society Of Friends Within The Area Of The Cumberland Durham And Scotland General Meetings Thereof In One Or Both Of The Following Ways Or In Such Ways As The Trustees Think Fit.1. In Awarding To Such Persons Scholarships, Exhibitions, Bursaries, Maintenance Allowances Or Grants Tenable At Any School, University, College Of Education, Or Other Institution Of Further (Including Professional And Technical) Education Approved For The Purpose By The Trustees;2. In Providing Financial Assistance, Outfits, Clothing, Tools, Instruments Or Books To Assist Such Persons To Pursue Their Education (Including The Study Of Music And Other Arts), To Undertake Travel In Furtherance There Of, Or To Prepare For And Enter A Profession, Trade, Occupation Or Service On Leaving School, University Or Other Educational Establishment.
