Activities
Physical Training, Outdoor Activities including Fell Walking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, service and training in all facets of the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme which includes expeditions etc. Raising of funds by the members for our own use and for other charities.
Objects: The Object Of The Group Shall Be To Advance The Mental, Physical And Spiritual Welfare Of Young People Within The Group Through Opportunity And Challenge. The Areas In Which The Aims And Objects Will Be Provided Are....(a) Promoting That Opportunity And Challenge Through Participation In The Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme By Acting As A Duke Of Edinburgh Award User Unit. Maintaining A Close Liaison With The Local Operating Authority Of The Duke Of Edinburgh Award Scheme And Abiding By The Rules Laid Down By That Authority With Regard To Operating Activities Within The Award Scheme.(b) Promoting Activities Through Challenge And Adventure For Causes Considered By The Group Worthy Of Charitable Support.(c) To Give Assistance To Other Service Clubs And Charitable Causes.(d) To Develop Young People In Skills Related To Future Employment.(e) To Encourage Adults To Participate In The Furtherance Of These Objects.ds Of Planning And Architecture.
