## **Structure, governance and management** 

The Church in Birmingham is governed and constituted under a charitable trust deed executed on 4th October 2003. 

Trustees are appointed by the Church acting by resolution passed at a meeting of the Church. 

## **Objects** 

The trustees shall hold the trust fund without distinction between capital and income to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of faith 

## **Financial review** 

The charity endeavours to utilise the funds available to the best effect in the advancement of it's objectives. 

## **Main activities** 

The Church advances the Christian faith through - the preaching of the Gospel, by the spiritual nourishment of new believers, by holding meetings for prayer and remembrance of the Lord, by seeking to raise up and support full time workers, by supporting works to spread the Gospel both locally and abroad and by regular and frequent fellowship with other churches throughout the world..

## **Achievements and performance** 

The Church has continued to advance the Christian faith through the preaching of the Gospel, by the spiritual nourishment of new believers, by holding meetings for prayers and remembrance of the Lord Jesus, by supporting works to spread the Gospel and by frequent fellowship with other churches near and far. The following list details the main activities of the church between May 2023 and April 2024. 

- We conducted our main church meetings i.e. the Lord’s Table and prophesying 

- 1. meetings at the meeting hall. 

- In our meetings on Sundays, we continued to practise the scriptural way of each 

- 2. member speaking his or her portion of the enlightenment/ enjoyment based on the Holy Word from the Bible. 

3. The weekly church's prayer meetings were held online via Zoom. 

- Our home meetings on Fridays  and the College students Meetings on Saturdays were 

- 4. held in various homes. 

- We had many fellowships with the churches and believers outside of Birmingham, as 

- 5. well as attending Christian conferences in different cities both in the UK and Europe

## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of The Church in Birmingham** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Church in Birmingham for the year ended 30 April 2024 . 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011. ("the Act"). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's Accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by the Chaity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the ACT: or 

2. The accounts do not accord with those records: or 

3. The accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a "true and fair view" which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
