This past year has been one of both rellection and re5111ence. As Chief C4)erating Officer of
MAECare, l am proud of how we have contlnued to support older people to age well - with
dignlty, rA)nnection, and purpose- despite the on80in8 pressure5 faun8 the soclal care and
community sectors.
(her the past 12 months, we have T*Ybrked wlth 967 older people across our area. offerln8
5er¥ices that promote physKal wellbein& reduce isolatk)n, and sUPPOrt independent fivlng.
From befrknthw visits and communlty Broups to ad￿e, advocacy d1￿ skills trninin&
our staff and w￿￿nteers make a lan8lble dlffrn every dav.
Llke many small charitles we are operating under the straln of rtslng costs and kKreaslng
demand. Yet with the Xeadfast supP￿t of c•x portr￿, funders and commuTrity, we h
adapted and found new ways to re¥h those who need us.
But the reatity 15 St•*; too manyolder people In our communlty are stlll mbslng ¢xrt on the
help they Urgently need. Wlth more fundln& we could extend our offer to reath those who
