The Peter Scott Gallery Charitable Trust was established by a Declaration of Trust dated 8th November 2001, for the (A) Preservation, protection and improvement for the Public Benefit of all Paintings, prints,works of art, ceramics owned by, associated with or displaced in the Peter Scott Gallery of the University of Lancaster.
Objects: (A) The Preservation Protection And Improvement For The Public Benefit Of All Paintings, Prints, Works Of Art, Ceramics, Porcelain, Sculpture And Other Chattels Of Items Of National, Historic, Artistic Or Scientific Interest Owned By Associated With Or Displaced In The Peter Scott Gallery Of The University Of Lancaster. (B) For The Benefit Of The General Public The Preservation Of A Collection ("The Collection") Of Paintings Sculpture And Other Chattels Or Items Of National, Historic, Artistic Or Scientific Interest And The Encouragement Of The Provision Of Access To And The Study Of Such Items By The General Public.(c) To Advance Education By The Creation Maintenance And Funding Of Grants, Bursaries, Scholarships, Prizes And Rewards For Members Of The General Public To Increase Their Knowledge, Appreciation And Enjoyment Of The Collection And For Educational And Research Purposes Generally In Relation To The Collection. (D) The Organisation Or Provision, Or Assistance In The Organisation Or Provision Of Facilities Which Will Enable Members Of The General Public To Have Access To The Collection. (E) The Education Of The General Public And In Particular, But Without Prejudice To The Generality Of The Foregoing The Increase Of Their Knowledge, Understanding And Appreciation Of Any Matters Of Historic, Artistic, Architectural, Anaesthetic Of Scientific Interest And The Use Of The Collection To Future Such Aims.
