Treasurer’s Annual Report

2024

The Executive Committee of Unity of UK St Lucian Associations extends its heartfelt gratitude to all our members for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout the year.

I would like to personally extend my thanks to all members of the committee and our member associations for their steadfast support.

The Charity has continued to support key programs effectively, with trustees' meetings being conducted via Zoom or telephone calls to minimize costs associated with hall rentals.

Fundraising

The association's funding has been primarily derived from events and other activities organized throughout the year. We celebrated our 45th Independence at the Stratford Town Hall, which was a successful event generating a fair profit. For this year, we did not apply directly to public funds for donations, grants, or other assistance. However, we received donated prizes, which were raffled to raise funds.

The committee is currently planning events for the coming year.

Our account with Lloyds Bank has been well maintained, and the balances have been duly recorded in the executive committee minutes.

All expenses incurred while pursuing activities on behalf of the association have been reimbursed in accordance with Charity Commission guidelines.

Grants and donations were made during the year, and the amounts donated are detailed in the accounts submitted to the Charity Commission.
