Activities

Kiran Talking Newspapers came into existence with the launch of 'Kiran' now a Gujarati weekly, in April 1985. We currently produce talking newspapers on USB memory Sticks. Our readers record normal written texts from newspapers, magazines and books on these USB memory Sticks and distribute them to blind and visually impaired South Asians throughout UK at no cost to them.

Objects: 1. To Relive The Blind Or Partially Sighted, Or Those Labouring Under Some Temporary Or Permanent Incapacity Or Disability Which Makes Reading A Strain, By The Provision Of Recorded Tape (or Tactile Matters) Or Any Other Material Which Would Improve The Quality Of Life Of Visually Impaired People Of Asian Origin.2. To Provide Or Assist In The Provision Of Recreational Activities For Those People Of Asian Origin Who Are Visually Impaired And Have Need Of Such Facilities With The Object Of Improving The Condition Of Life
