The charity operates from the Cedarwood Community Hub and across North Tyneside, thus aims to provide facilities and services for the relief of poverty, and the promotion of health and well-being and life-chances, through information, pastoral support, education and training, and leisure-time activities in the interests of social welfare.
Objects: 1. To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the North-East of England, particularly but not exclusively those living in the Meadow Well Estate in North Shields (together the “Area of Benefit”) by associating together the said inhabitants and voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupations, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.2. The prevention or relief of poverty by providing advice, support, food, financial and housing assistance and other resources to those in need within the Area of Benefit.3. The advancement of health and well-being within the Area of Benefit by providing information, pastoral care, physical and mental health support services and activities which promote healthier lifestyles and reduce social isolation.4. The advancement of education and training within the Area of Benefit, in particular but not exclusively among disadvantaged individuals and within disadvantaged communities, by offering learning opportunities, skills development, and personal development programmes. 5. The advancement of citizenship and community development within the Area of Benefit by promoting community capacity-building, volunteering, and partnerships that contribute to resilient and empowered communities.
