The trustees present the annual report together with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 July 2025. 

## **Objectives and activities** 

## _**Objects and aims**_ 

The aims and objectives of the association are to advance the education of the pupils in the school in particular by developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school and engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school. 

## _**Public benefit**_ 

The charity complements the school by providing resources, organising events and providing a further line of comminucation to benefit the school, staff, learners and parents/guardians/carers. 

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the requirements of section 17 of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales. 

## **Structure, governance and management** 

## _**Nature of governing document**_ 

The Church School Baildon PTFA was established by a charitable trust deed on 31 October 2003 and is registered in England and Wales as a charity (number 1100442). The charity's constitutional document is available to view online at https://baildonce.co.uk/parents-and-pupils/ptfa/. 

## _**Organisational structure**_ 

The Church School, Baildon PTFA is an independent charity. The association is controlled by a management committee comprising the trustees. All the people working for the organisation are volunteers and there are no paid staff. 

The annual report was approved by the trustees of the charity on 26 May 2026 and signed on its behalf by:

## **Independent Examiner's Report to the trustees of The Church School, Baildon PTFA** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Church School, Baildon PTFA for the year ended 31 July 2025. 

## **Responsibilities and basis of report** 

As the charity trustees of The Church School, Baildon PTFA you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). 

I report in respect of my examination of the The Church School, Baildon PTFA's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## **Independent examiner’s statement** 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of The Church School, Baildon PTFA as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or 

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

## **1 Accounting policies** 

## **Basis of preparation** 

The accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis. 

## **Raising funds** 

Fundraising costs are the direct costs of fundraising events and the purchase of necessary goods and services. 

## **Cash and cash equivalents** 

All bank deposits and cash are held in unrestricted funds in the current and prior year. 

## **Fund structure** 

All of the charity's receipts and payments relate to general unrestricted funds in the current and prior year. 

## **2 Grant-making** 

The £19,902 granted to the school comprised £19,178 to purchase audiovisual and IT equipment in the main hall and classrooms, and £724 for outdoor gazebos gifted to the school.
