MUSLIM CULTURAL SOCIETY OF BIRMINGHAM TRUSTEES, REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 The Tntstees present their reEx)rt for the year ended 31 March 2024. The fJnan¢ial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies on page 7 and comply with the charitys trust deed and applicable law. The charity was estsblished by the constitution and the charity is registered with the Charity Commission in England (No:1099763) OWECTS The objects of the charity ar¢ to make adequate cRltable provisions to benefit Muslim adults and childr¢n. To advance education of the mlIm comtnunity and provid¢ resources in the interest of social welfare. ACTIVITIES AND PROGRESS The Muslim Cultural Society of Birn]ingham will provide public benefit through its programm¢s of prayers and celebration of the key events in the Islamic Calendar. Activities will be open to everyone in the community. The Cultural centre will provide Congregational Prayers, Friday Sernlons and Eid prayers. The cultural centre has now arranged fa¢iliti¢s for ladies to participate and attend the IMrtant gatheTings and activities. During the year Trustees continue to raise finance from local Community for continuation of Mosque to provid¢ public benefiLThe IneeS have now got plans to improve the existing car parking facilities and complete the basement This Work was contind during the year. Wall fencing work w&% almost completed during the year. Ground floor hall was fully furbished and prayers gathering is organised there. Toilets and Ablution facilities are also completed for the Eenefit of publi¢ coming to mosque. New speaker and sound system w&s introduced in the Mosque. During the year regular prdyer facilities were Open and outside scholars were invited for speeches and religious lectures and not only the local community but Muslim community in general is now benefitin8 from the projecL FINANCE During the period the charity rni5cd funds by collecting donations and interest free friendly loans from the community members. The cljarity managed to repay some private loans. TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE Accouwrs Charity law requires the tn of the A&8(tiation to prepare statements of accounts for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of its incoming resources and application of resources for that period. RESERVES POLICY The Reserve Fund represents unrestricted funds. The Trustees aim to maintain sufficient reserves so as to give flexibility to cover lemporary timing differences for donations received, adequate working capital for core costs and which allow them lo r¢spond quickly to th¢ n¢¢ds of the Trust. Such funds may be held in order to fllwice both working capital and capitsl investment. There is no forn policy of transfer between funds or on the allocation of funds to deSIat¢d funds. GOING CONCERN As explained in the Trustees Report although the disruption caused by Coronaviru5 and lower expected income, Trtee'S are satisfied that the charity will be able to continue its activities possibly at lower scale when it is allowed to reopen.There shoul also be no impact on charities reserve policy.
