## Light for the Last Days

## Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Light for the Last Days

## T report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 December 2021,

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

## It is my responsibility to:

* examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act * follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act * state whether particular matters have come to my attention

Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the next statement.

## Independent examiner’s statement

In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention; (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: * to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act and * to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act have not been met or (2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. lia{ | tee “2 afr Dated: 21 April' 20222

## Charity Commission Report for Light For The Last Days in 2021.

Charity Commission Registration Number: 1099651. Address: 54 Bridge Lane, London, NW11 OEH. Trustees: Mr Paul Duffett, Mr James Vickery, Mr Stephen Beckingham. Director: Mr Antony Pearce.

Light for the Last Days was constituted as a charitable trust in April 2003 for the purpose of advancing the Christian faith.

During 2021 we produced the magazine Light for the Last Days each quarter. We have increased the number of magazines produced to 10,000 copies. These are printed four times a year and sent out to people on our mailing list. Copies are also distributed by those using them in evangelism or at public meetings. The magazine is also distributed online. We produce leaflets and booklets on the Bible and prophecy which are distributed through our members. During the year several thousand copies of our leaflets ‘SOS’ and ‘Hope for the Future’ have been distributed, as well as our booklet ‘10 signs of the Second Coming.’ We have produced new material, including the booklet ‘Can you lose your salvation’ and ‘The Omega Course.’

Our website is www.lightforthelastdays.co.uk. This is visited by people from around the world and contains articles on Bible teaching and current issues and events. It also contains the magazine.

The magazine continues to be translated into French, German, Romanian and the Indian language, Malayalam. Ligia Luca translates into Romanian and distributes the magazine in Romania. She has also set up a Romanian website https://luminaultimelorzile. wordpress.com which is visited by Romanian speakers in many countries. Cornelia Kuruc translates the magazine into German and distributes it in Switzerland and Germany. She does this as a voluntary activity, funded by supporters on her mailing list. Stephane Jacquemain translates the magazine into French and we distribute it in France and other French speaking countries in Europe and Africa. Rev Pappy Daniel translates the magazine into the Indian language, Malayalam and distributes our material in India. We have supported the work of Danijel Vukovic in Serbia who has translated some our materials and distributed them there. We have also supplied materials and funds for help in the work of Frazer Nauliya in Malawi.

We have now addeda section for foreign languages on the website including translations into Chinese and Spanish, done by our worker Eric Martinez. We have posted copies of the Chinese “10 Signs’ booklet to Chinese speaking people around the world.

We have been able to expand the work through use of the Internet and social media and seen a growing interest in this means of getting our message out to a wider audience. We now have large numbers of people in contact with us via Facebook and the Internet, including many in India, Pakistan, and various African countries.

Financial support for the charity comes from free will gifts from those on our mailing list. A number of people give regularly to the work underour Gift Aid scheme. We have a healthy reserve fund which is adequate to cover all anticipated expenses during 2022. We will continue to use our resources to produce and distribute the magazine and leaflets which contain Christian news and views about current world events in the light of Bible prophecy and teaching on the meaning of the Bible. All of this is available to the general public.
