In the period FD(UK) had four trustees all based in the UK.

1. To enable the advancement of education of communities in Cambodia and support the training and good practice of their teachers; 

2. To provide relief from poverty in Cambodia; 

3. To achieve other charitable purposes to help and benefit the communities of Cambodia. 



## FD(UK)’s main objectives and associated activities are: 

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)** 

The provision of a safe and comfortable learning environment that is free of charge to the children who attend. This is achieved by the adoption of Feeding Dreams Cambodia. The adoption process involves: 

- Financial support to FDC. This covers the provision of school supplies, maintenance and refurbishment work. 

- Financial support to individuals for education sponsorship including teacher training, attendance at state school and higher education. 

- Funding of school rebuilding works as necessary. 

- Input of Human Resources as required and when appropriate. 

Enabling some of the poorest children in Cambodia to attend school and enhance their educational opportunities helps break the poverty cycle.

FD(UK) only works with FDC based in Cambodia. FDC and it’s Directors are all known by FD(UK)'s trustees. 

The Directors and staff teams based in Cambodia oversee the expenditure of FD(UK) funding. This constitutes only a portion of their income not their total budgets. 

- Sponsorship grants are awarded on the basis of (i) academic ability (ii) the child's wishes (iii) the support of the family or guardian. 

- Volunteers in the UK are involved in fundraising. FDC also operate their own volunteer program. 

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

COVID had a major impact on FD(UK)’s work in Cambodia however a lot has still been achieved. FD(UK)’s main achievements during the year were: 

- Furlough does not exist in Cambodia. Salaries to staff, rent, continued to be paid. In addition, COVID crisis care payments were available for local families in need. 

- Supporters held fundraising events where and when allowed, virtual events were also held to ensure funds could continue to be sent to FDC. 

- Dreams Hospitality Training Centre – remained fully operational through lockdown (March to August) trainers conducted daily online lessons to students in their homes. The centre reopened in August with class distancing, masks, handwash, etc. provided. 

- FDC Community Dept. regular fortnightly food packages were distributed. The school opened each month and obeyed social distancing rules to distribute much needed sponsorship funds. 

- Work continued with families suffering domestic violence. 

- Organising medical consultations continued. 

- Incidents of reported child abuse rose during school closure throughout Cambodia. FDC’s Education Dept. in partnership with Terre de Hommes formed a Children’s Club to train teenagers on child protection. 

- Football Academy has continued to provide support and operated using distancing measures, temperature tests, masks and handwashing.

Payments to the two projects supported in Cambodia have bank payment reports for each individual payment. 

Payments are shown as Restricted where donors have stipulated that funds are for a particular use e.g. child school sponsorship. 

Bank charges £17 per payment x 26 payments = £442 

Fundraising costs Fasthosts charges for email £48, Squarespace for website £188. £5 Non sterling transfer fee. 

Total = £241 

A fraudulent DD was set up on our charity account. This was reported to the bank and the funds have been reimbursed in 2020/2021 accounts - £64.Repaid into bank account 13[th] October 2020.
