**Objects:** A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF MEMBERS OF THE BRITISH SOMALI COMMUNITY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY SOMALI WOMEN, CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE  IN SUCH CHARITABLE WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT INCLUDING THE PROVISION OF CULTURAL EDUCATION AND BY EDUCATIONAL TRAINING:B) TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE THE HEALTH OF SOMALI WOMEN;C) TO PROVIDE, OR TO ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATIONS IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF MEMBERS OF THE BRITISH SOMALI COMMUNITY AND TO ENABLE THEM TO PLAY A MORE ACTIVE ROLE IN SOCIETY AND:D) SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SAID COMMUNITY AS TRUSTEES SEE FIT.

**Activities:** The British Somali Community is a women-led charity organisation that works to ensure enhanced civic participation and equitable access to services for BAME communities. Established in 1995 by and for the community, we provide invaluable services in educational attainment for children and young people, employment, paralegal advice, empowerment for women, and various forms of community support.
