Et has been a busy year. full of racÉng, pool and general coaching sessions which both generdte and cost
funds. We have tun a variety of courses, in¢ludin8 fjrst ai¢L safeguarding and paddlesports instNctor courses
to encourage developm¢nl.
We hav¢ hosted 3 successful rdces this year which, together with the catering income. have boosted club

have been looking at the nttds of the club. After a few years of ticking over. the committee have agreed to
invest in new equipmeni including boats. 2 of thes¢ should be arriving early in the new year.
As a ¢lub we have been Tnindfvl of rising costs for our members and this year we introduced th¢ Participation
Grant. The aim of this is to enable participation in club activities which may otherwise not have been
possible for some of our m¢mb¢rs. This will be coniinuin& and we will be pmmottng the grant at renew
lime and in rn¢mbership packs for new rnembers.
Subscriptions
Obviously, in th¢ backwund we have basic tuming costs. The school are our landlords. and we pay a rental
and 5eryice charg¢ to them. These amounts have not b¢en reviewed for several years bui we have been
reliably infomJ¢d a review is tsking plk¢e. As yet we are not awar¢ of the exact increase but bearing this in
min(L the committee have reviewed membership rat¢5 and arr proposing a small Incre￿ from April 2024.

Webcolleet Membership System
We have had a look at several of the online membejship systems but they do not support our tiered
membership S￿ctUre. We did look * the option of flattening the memb¢rship tiers but WebColl¢¢t will
support tiered membership, $0 we have decided to leave this as is. There is a lot of baCk￿DUnd Configuration
needed to get the system suitable for our membership. but w¢ are working on this. Part of this we have
changed the membership prices io be divisible by 12. so memb¢r5 wishing to pay monthly will pay over 12
months rather than th¢ Current 10.
There will be no paper forni. the cornpleting the online forni will be acceptanc¢ of the terms and code of
condu¢1. For juniors we will need an adult to have the prinwy account in WebCollecL this does not need to
be rnembership of the club, but is for the contact.
We will be in tou¢h in the next couple of Months to verify that we hav¢ the correct email for everyone. For
junior only members we will be crewing a prirnary Contsct within WebColl¢¢t to SI￿ on behalf of the junior.
W¢ will see how it goes. we will oy and get the renewals sent early, there rnay be some teethtng issues,
so ple&s¢ bear with us.
Access to your Webcollect can b¢ done by ttquesting a pin to your emaÉl each time you want to log in. or
our you create a p&5sword to use for the login.
British Canoeing have been encouraging us to cr¢•te Club Asw¢iate membership for all of our members who
do not have their own BC manbership. Club Associate membership gives a watenvays licence and allows a
member to paddle in club sessions and organised races up ￿ Div 7. We have already created these accounts
for our newer paddling memberk but we will roll this out fiffther in time.
