The tru$te8s present their report and accounts the year ended 31 May 2025.
The accounts have been prepared in accordan￿ with tha accounting policies set out In nDte 1 to accounts
and comply wth the Trust's Charitable Trust Deed. the Charities Act 2011 and tha Accounting and Repordng by
Charities-. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance
wlth the Flnancial Reporting Siandard applicable in the UK and Republlc of Ireland IFRS 102) 18ffoclNe 1
January 2019).

The Trust was established by a charitable trust deed on 12 June 2003.

Potential new tfuslees are recruitsd in one of ways. Either the trustees approach someone who they think
ar8 sympalhelic lo the aims of the Trust and may be intsrested and have lim8 to commit to the TrLrsl, or an
interested, sympathetic and infornied person approaches one or more Iruslees wlh a view to joining the Trust.
The trustees would then formally discuss the applicant's rnerits and skill sel$. Followng a formal scrgening
process and checks as necessary, if the Settlor and majority of Iruslees consider that the applI￿Trt would
enhgnce the Tfust's work. he or she is form8lly elected by a majority of all trustees.
Mr David Skidmore is the Settjor and Chalmian of Trustees, and d8818 wlth administralive matters on an unpaid
voluntsry basis. A Chief Administration Officer volunteers to assist %￿lh administmtive matter8. All trustees are
v(Auntary and unpaid and 8re respon&ble lo ensure that the objects of the Trust are observad and the duties of
the charty are Ca￿led OLrt in accordance with the applicable law.
The ttustoes have assessed the major risks to whlch the Trust is exp08ed. and are satisfied that systems are in
place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.
Sylvia Skidmore served until 29 June 2024 when Sadly she passed away. Tha trustees wish to record their
thanks to her for her contrtbulion to the funning of thls charity.

The financlal support for these activrtie8 is taken into considèration when any other demand is considered.

The Trust's objects are lo provmye funds for Ihe care and support of persons with mentsl or physical disabillues.
This is achieved by donations to trusts wth simllar objectives. to the Gr0oms-Shaftesl￿ry charity and their
Truèlov8s Supported Uving Committee in respect of care. holidays. oubngs and transptsrt and in the runnlng of a
dubhouse for disabled persons in the area.
The Tnjst also diroctly supports disabled peO￿e who have moved out into the community with Sta￿Up Costs.

Idl Supwrt of mentally and physically disabled people_ The support $81 out in Ib) abgve is prow(*d via the
Supported Living Group and direcuy to Individual disabled people in flnancial need who are givgn support with
aquipmen[ housing, transport and counselling. This year the Trust has provided a mobile phone and a¢¢ounl,
four wheelchairs, period8 of respite care and hall hiring for sooal events. 11 has also funded NOPG la registered
eharilyl for drama, music and eXe￿Se classes.
The Trust was njn by six trusteos %•tho conslder the many application5 for help, and declde which can and cannot
be supported. The main support is for locally handicapped people and donations to the Supported Living
Committee in respect of its work within Twelove8 and for disabled people now livirvj in the Iccal community.
However, since the death of Sylvia SkKlmore, two new trustees have been appointed. making the tota trustees 7
people for the coming year 202&2026. These are tsvo sisters Millie Doub￿ and Rosie Double who we
appointed on 29 June 2025 by unanimous resolution of the remaining trustees attending the meth.ng of Ihgt date.
Théy wer8 appolnled to be cc*opled as trustees wth effect from 1 July 2025.
Achievements and perfom)ance
The income this year came from variou$ paymgnts made by donations (r)Ilected al Sylvla Skidmore's fijneral,
donatlon from Gillian Walker of £6,000 and alggacy from the will of Annlg Saunder8 being the net amunt of her
estate after sale of her residence.
Th8 rnain &Jnalion$ were to the Trufrloves Supported Living Committee in 5UPPDrt of the Gro¢Jms-Shaftesbury
registered tharity, who arrange holidays for the disabled, run outing$ and maintsin and organise dubhouse
activities.

Flnanclal revlow
The income this year mainly arose from donations as Set out a￿Ve. Gift aid for th18 year amounted to £1,547.
The net funds wailable at tha gnd of the year was circa £244.000 {induding cash of £223.8071. The Trust ha$
sufficient funds lo finance Its fiJlure activrties.

It is the policy of the Trust that unrestn.cted lunds which have not been designated for a specific use should be
maintained at a level equivalent to between three and six months expendlture. The trustees consider that
resetvos at thi5 level will gnsure that, in the event of a significant drop in fundlng, they will be a￿e lo conllnue the
Tru5t'$ current actiwtl8s whil& ¢on$id8ralion is given lo ways in which addillonal funds may be rai8ed. This level
of reserves had been malntained throughout this year.

present activrties and In the revenue up keep of their new facillty. Th1$ faality does not create a fijlure liabilrty on
the charfty althoLW4h there is an intention by the trustees to incre8se the activtties and wden the service provided.
There have been no additional parents who have willed their residuary estates to the Trust. No aco)unt of this
in￿rne is taken into account in flnancial plannir@ and commilments until such income is reoiv8d.
We are confklenl In the viability of tre Trust and in the help it Is 8Lla lo give to the disabled and disadvantsged in
our community.

The financial Statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and are prasanlod in

The account$ have been prepared on the basis that the Trust is a going concern. Thg Trustees are ojnfident
that this is the ￿se and have based this judgement having set aside )lJnds sufficient lo meet all projected
costs for 12 months from the time of approving Ihese accounts.

Recommen(kd Prodi￿ applicable to eharilies p￿parIng their accounts in accordance wth the Financkgl
