We have pleasurè In submitting our annual report and accounts for the year ending 30 September
2024.
The Object of the charity is the advancemenl of Ihe education and wellbeing of the pupils al The
Beacon School by providing funds, ttems, services and facililies that are nol th8 obligation of any
5talulory authority lo provide.
The Constitution was approved and adopted on 15m October 2002, amended in certain respecls in
March 2009 8nd again in April and August 2021. The constitution is availab18 on the school
websitè. The organisalion was ragislered as a charity from 5.'h August 2003. having been a small
Parent Teacher Association up lo Ihal time.
A summary of the fundraising activities and items purchased in pursuit of the charity's objects
during the period is shown in the notes lo the Accounts.
The Trustees do not engage in speculative investments and they hold slgnificant funds in inler8sI-
bearing and current accounts until such time as they are needed.
Fundlng requests received from the School are approved at the discretion of lh6 Headmaster and
the Committee. and then passed lo the Trustees for final approval.
Reserves Pollcy
In normal limes, our policy is lo maintain unencumbered funds in cash of at least £10,000 to
enable the charity to make arrangements for future events.
Within thé limitations of the above we aim to purchase items whenever the school has made a
request and it has been approved at a Trustees Meeting.

1. Accounting Policies
The financial statements have been prepared on a Receipls & Payments basis as permitted by
harilie5 legislation and in accordance with ap[￿ICable accounbng standards.
2. Stock and other assets
The charity holds minor items of furniture. slationery and consumable stock for use in forthcoming
events. The trustees do not consider Iheir valuation material and endeavour lo keep such items to
a minimum.
3. Fundralslng actlvltl•s
A sumrnary of the activities held during Ihe ponod and funds raised is shown on Page S.
4. Charltable Actlvltlès
As shown on page 5 funds were expended on a number of projects around the school. Donations
wer8 also made to ￿levant charits'es
5. Future Charltable Actlvltles
In the 2023 10 2024 financial year. and in addition lo the charitable activities Ilsted on page 5 note
2, the charity agreed to donate and fund charitable activities totalling £377. The Beacon School did
Dot expend these donations in the 2023 to 2024 financial year and therefore the charity ha5 not yel
funded the school. 11 is likely the school will expeid Ihe agreed donations in the 2024 to 2025
financial year. These donations have not been induded in the Statement of Assets and Liabilitiès.

Independent examinerfs report to the trustees of The Beacon School Parents Society
I report on the accounts of The Beacon School Parents, Society for the year ended 30 September
2024, which are sel out on pages 2 to 6.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charily's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounls. The charily's trustees
consider Ihal an audit is not required for this year under section 144{21 of thé Charities Act 2011
(the 2011 AGtI and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responslblllty to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Acl..
lo follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 145{51{b) of the 2011 Act,. and
lo slate whether particular mallers have come to My attention.
Basls of Independent examlnerfs rnport
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An 8xaminalion includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. 11 also indud8s consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures In the accounts. and seeking explanations from you as trustees
conc8rning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts
present a 'true and fair view. and the report is limrted to those matters sel out in the statement
b@low.

In connection with my examination, no maller has come to my attention..
