thefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31July2024.Thetrusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisions of
AccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparing their
accountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS 102)
(effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

HopeforTheNationsisanon-governmental,non-politicalorganisationcreatedasacharitablelegalentityin2002. The
Memorandum of Association defines the charity's 'Objects' as being:
"TorelievepovertyandadvanceeducationwithaChristianethosbytheprovisionoffunds,equipment,training, and
personnel, particularly but not exclusively to those persons living in Africa".
WhilstHopeForTheNationscarriesoutsomedisasterreliefwork,itconsidersthatthebestmethodofmeeting its
objectivesisthroughlongterminvestmentinthelivesofindividualorphansandwidowsbysponsorship, establishing
children'shomes, feedingprogrammes,education,encouragingself-sufficiencythroughdevelopingmicro enterprises, and
byprovidingasourceofcleanwater,andprovidinghumanitarianaid.Itpartnersincoalitionwithotherswith similar
objectives, in order to maximise the value to beneficiary groups.

Grantmaking

Followingrequestsreceivedfor grants,the Chief ExecutiveOfficeris able to agree grantsof up to £5,000.For any amount
in excess of £5,000, the approval of the Board of Trustees is required.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Financial

Thecharity'sincomeexperiencedadeclinecomparedtothepreviousyear,totalling£74,630for2023/24,down from
£85,274in2022/23.Meanwhile,thecharity'sexpenditurealsoreduced,amountingto£56,568comparedto£77,393 in
the previous year. This resulted in a surplus of £18,062, a notable increase from the previous year's surplus of £7,881.

Kenya

In Junethisyearoneof ourtrusteesWillSymonswentto Kenyato see theprojectsthatHFTNsupportinthatcountry. It
wasthefirsttriptoKenyaforsometimeandwascarriedouttoensurethatthedonationsthatarebeingreceived so
faithfully into the charity are being put to good use.
Duringthistriphewasabletomeetthepeoplewhoruntheprojectsandalsomanyofthosewhohavebenefitted from
thesupport.Aswellasthepeople,hewenttovillagesandsawhouseswheresolarpanelshadbeeninstalled, visited
schoolsand spoketo the pupilswhose schoolfees are paid.He saw at first handthe evidenceof changedlives as a  result
of the support that is sent.

Soweto Hope Bright Future School

We have continuedour commitmentto supportingthe feedingprogrammeand Baby Care Unit to enhancethe well-being
of the children.

Kolongolo

We provide consistent monthly financial support to assist the widows.

Mukwa

Our monthly financial aid to the widows in Mukwa is ongoing, ensuring their essential needs are met.

Hope Transformation Centre and New Life Children's Home, Bungoma

UndertheleadershipofPatrickSiabutu,theHopeTransformationCentrehasbecomeasourceofinspirationfor many
Kenyan leaders.The land providedhas been well utilizedfor variouspurposes.Alongsideongoingcarpentry,masonry, and
tailoring training, the centre now includes a demonstration plot for organic farming and related training sessions.

Turkana

John Lokoliremains in charge of the EducationProjectin Turkana,which sponsors30 childrento attendsecondary school.
Each child has an individual sponsor, and we are deeply grateful for their continued generosity and support.

Malawi

WecontinuetosupportAhavaMinistriesandGulugufeintheirinitiatives,whichfocusonhealthcare, education,
agriculture, and sustainable development projects.

Romania, India and Eswatini

Our regular sponsorship contributions to projects and workers in Romania, India, and Eswatini are ongoing.

KwattSwap

KwattSwapnowoperatesunderHFTNtoraisefundsthroughdonationsforpurchasingsolarequipmentfor supported
projects.Twenty solar kits have been distributedto widows in Mukwa, Kenya. Additionalfunds are being raised to procure
another 20 solar kits, as well as to purchase and install a solar-powered borehole pump in Butiikwa Village, Uganda.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Reserves policy

Whilstthe trusteesconsiderthata generalfundbalanceof £5,000is desired,to ensurethatsupportcosts are covered for
atleast3monthsinadvance,wehaverecognisedthattheremaybetimeswhenthiswillneedtobeflexible,due to
particular financial pressures at particular times.
At the endof thisfinancialyearthe level of reserveshadincreasedto £134,068(2023:£116,006)andavailablefunds, i.e.
those excluding fixed assets and restricted funds, stood at £118,255 (2023: £106,917).

Investment policy and objectives

UndertheMemorandumandArticlesofAssociation,theCharityhasthepowertomakeinvestmentsasthetrustees see
fit.Thetrusteesconsideranyinvestmentsonanindividualbasis,andaredutyboundtoseekappropriate professional
advice before reaching any decision. At the year end the Charity had no invested funds.

Volunteers and Supporters

The charityis very gratefulto all thosewho gave so generouslyof theirtime, talentsand money,bothhere in the UK,  and
in Africa. It has only been able to achieve all that it has because of such generosity.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

Theorganisationis charitablecompanylimitedbyguarantee,incorporatedon7 May2002andregisteredas a charity on
23 July 2003.
ThecompanywasestablishedunderaMemorandumofAssociationwhichestablishedtheobjectsandpowersof the
charitablecompanyandisgovernedunderitsArticlesofAssociation.Intheeventofthecompanybeingwound up
members are required to contribute an amount not exceeding £10.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

The directorsof the companyare also charitytrusteesfor the purposeof charitylaw and under the company'sArticles are
knownasmembersoftheManagementCommittee.TheTrusteesareresponsiblefortheadministrationand investment
policy of the Scheme. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Articles of Association of the Charitable Company.

Organisational structure

Theorganisation,includingtheCEOandthevolunteersworkfromhome,ourregisteredofficebeingArquenHouse 4-6
SpicerStreet,StAlbans,Herts,AL34PQ,fromwhichitcarriesoutitsdirectionofoperations.Thisincludes fundraising,
networking and communications, and its accounts.
The Boardof Trustees seeks to meet a minimum of four times a year, to review and monitorthe work and management of
the Charity.This body also approves annual budgets and scrutinises policy decisions.
The boardconsistedof the CEO,threedirectorsandthe CompanySecretary,who is responsiblefor completing statutory
returns on behalf of the Charity.

Wider network

Hope for the Nations Children's Charity seeks and encourages partnership with others, to enhance the work of the Charity.
OurcoalitionpartnershipsincludeHopefortheNations(Canada,Malawi,Romania,Eswatini),Elim(U.K), Ahava
Ministries, Gulugufe and Ignite Hubs International as well as with church groupings both here and abroad.

Risk management

The Trusteeshave a dutyto identifyandreview the risksto whichHopefor The NationsChildren'sCharityis exposed and
to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.
ThetrusteesactivelyreviewthemajorrisksthattheCharityfacesonaregularbasis.Thetrusteesbelievethatthey have
thesystemsinplacetomitigatetheserisks.Thisincludesmattersofhealthandsafety,wherebytheHealthand Safety
matters will be discussed by the board on occasion.

Independent examiner's report to the trustees of Hope for the Nations Childrens Charity ('the Company')

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 July 2024.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As thecharity'strusteesof theCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesof companylaw)youareresponsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,I reportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccountsas carried
outunderSection145oftheCharitiesAct2011('the2011Act').IncarryingoutmyexaminationIhavefollowed the
Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiner's statement

Ihavecompletedmyexamination.Iconfirmthatnomattershavecometomyattentioninconnectionwith the
examination giving me cause to believe:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by Section 386 of the 2006 Act; or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

3. the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination; or

4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Practice for accounting and reporting by charities (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)).

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,have been
preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicableto charitiespreparingtheir accountsin accordancewith the Financial Reporting
StandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',Financial Reporting
Standard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andthe Companies
Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Income

All incomeis recognisedin the Statementof FinancialActivitiesonce the charityhas entitlementto the funds,it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Liabilitiesarerecognisedasexpenditureassoonasthereisalegalorconstructiveobligationcommitting the
charitytothatexpenditure,itisprobablethatatransferofeconomicbenefitswillberequiredinsettlement and
the amountof the obligationcanbe measuredreliably.Expenditureis accountedforon an accrualsbasisand has

Tangible fixed assets

Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.

Taxation

The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.

Fund accounting

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybe usedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithinthe objectsof the charity. Restrictions
arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.

workingname for Hope for the NationsinCharityCommissionrecords and is a fundraisingtool for the purchase of
renewableenergy productswhich are sent to vulnerablepeople,hospitalsand schoolsin the developing world.We
askpeopletoreducetheamountofdirtyenergytheyuseanddonatethemonetaryvalueoftheirsaving to
purchase clean energy kits for those in need.

No remuneration was paid to key management personnel in either 2023 or 2024.

Related party transactions

Onetrustee,WillSymons,is alsoa trusteeofNehemiahConstruction.A fullprovisionwasmadeagainstthe debt
of £30,000due from NehemiahConstructionin the 2017 accounts.No moneyhas been receivedin respectof this
loan in either 2023 or 2024.
LDennisasCEOisconsideredtobearelatedparty.Duringtheyearhereceivedexpensesof£2,400forUse of
Home as Office (2023: £2,400) and a companyof which he and his wife are directors,BrightRiver Ltd, received £36
in fundraising commission payments from the Charity (2023:£1,271).
BrandgelizeLtd,acompanyofwhichYIkennaisadirector,receivedpaymentsof£2,800inrespectof branding
payments from the time of her appointment as trustee in March 2024.
As disclosedin note 11, Debtors,£102,482(2023: £83,691)was owed by Hftn ShopLtd and £2,245(2023: £1,729)
was owed by Hftn Shop ( H & V) Ltd. Two of the trusteesof the charity,W R Symons and K Grover,are directors of

thefinancialstatementsofthecharityfortheyearended31July2024.Thetrusteeshaveadoptedtheprovisions of
AccountingandReportingbyCharities:StatementofRecommendedPracticeapplicabletocharitiespreparing their
accountsinaccordancewiththeFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS 102)
(effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

HopeforTheNationsisanon-governmental,non-politicalorganisationcreatedasacharitablelegalentityin2002. The
Memorandum of Association defines the charity's 'Objects' as being:
"TorelievepovertyandadvanceeducationwithaChristianethosbytheprovisionoffunds,equipment,training, and
personnel, particularly but not exclusively to those persons living in Africa".
WhilstHopeForTheNationscarriesoutsomedisasterreliefwork,itconsidersthatthebestmethodofmeeting its
objectivesisthroughlongterminvestmentinthelivesofindividualorphansandwidowsbysponsorship, establishing
children'shomes, feedingprogrammes,education,encouragingself-sufficiencythroughdevelopingmicro enterprises, and
byprovidingasourceofcleanwater,andprovidinghumanitarianaid.Itpartnersincoalitionwithotherswith similar
objectives, in order to maximise the value to beneficiary groups.

Grantmaking

Followingrequestsreceivedfor grants,the Chief ExecutiveOfficeris able to agree grantsof up to £5,000.For any amount
in excess of £5,000, the approval of the Board of Trustees is required.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE

Financial

Thecharity'sincomeexperiencedadeclinecomparedtothepreviousyear,totalling£74,630for2023/24,down from
£85,274in2022/23.Meanwhile,thecharity'sexpenditurealsoreduced,amountingto£56,568comparedto£77,393 in
the previous year. This resulted in a surplus of £18,062, a notable increase from the previous year's surplus of £7,881.

Kenya

In Junethisyearoneof ourtrusteesWillSymonswentto Kenyato see theprojectsthatHFTNsupportinthatcountry. It
wasthefirsttriptoKenyaforsometimeandwascarriedouttoensurethatthedonationsthatarebeingreceived so
faithfully into the charity are being put to good use.
Duringthistriphewasabletomeetthepeoplewhoruntheprojectsandalsomanyofthosewhohavebenefitted from
thesupport.Aswellasthepeople,hewenttovillagesandsawhouseswheresolarpanelshadbeeninstalled, visited
schoolsand spoketo the pupilswhose schoolfees are paid.He saw at first handthe evidenceof changedlives as a  result
of the support that is sent.

Soweto Hope Bright Future School

We have continuedour commitmentto supportingthe feedingprogrammeand Baby Care Unit to enhancethe well-being
of the children.

Kolongolo

We provide consistent monthly financial support to assist the widows.

Mukwa

Our monthly financial aid to the widows in Mukwa is ongoing, ensuring their essential needs are met.

Hope Transformation Centre and New Life Children's Home, Bungoma

UndertheleadershipofPatrickSiabutu,theHopeTransformationCentrehasbecomeasourceofinspirationfor many
Kenyan leaders.The land providedhas been well utilizedfor variouspurposes.Alongsideongoingcarpentry,masonry, and
tailoring training, the centre now includes a demonstration plot for organic farming and related training sessions.

Turkana

John Lokoliremains in charge of the EducationProjectin Turkana,which sponsors30 childrento attendsecondary school.
Each child has an individual sponsor, and we are deeply grateful for their continued generosity and support.

Malawi

WecontinuetosupportAhavaMinistriesandGulugufeintheirinitiatives,whichfocusonhealthcare, education,
agriculture, and sustainable development projects.

Romania, India and Eswatini

Our regular sponsorship contributions to projects and workers in Romania, India, and Eswatini are ongoing.

KwattSwap

KwattSwapnowoperatesunderHFTNtoraisefundsthroughdonationsforpurchasingsolarequipmentfor supported
projects.Twenty solar kits have been distributedto widows in Mukwa, Kenya. Additionalfunds are being raised to procure
another 20 solar kits, as well as to purchase and install a solar-powered borehole pump in Butiikwa Village, Uganda.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Reserves policy

Whilstthe trusteesconsiderthata generalfundbalanceof £5,000is desired,to ensurethatsupportcosts are covered for
atleast3monthsinadvance,wehaverecognisedthattheremaybetimeswhenthiswillneedtobeflexible,due to
particular financial pressures at particular times.
At the endof thisfinancialyearthe level of reserveshadincreasedto £134,068(2023:£116,006)andavailablefunds, i.e.
those excluding fixed assets and restricted funds, stood at £118,255 (2023: £106,917).

Investment policy and objectives

UndertheMemorandumandArticlesofAssociation,theCharityhasthepowertomakeinvestmentsasthetrustees see
fit.Thetrusteesconsideranyinvestmentsonanindividualbasis,andaredutyboundtoseekappropriate professional
advice before reaching any decision. At the year end the Charity had no invested funds.

Volunteers and Supporters

The charityis very gratefulto all thosewho gave so generouslyof theirtime, talentsand money,bothhere in the UK,  and
in Africa. It has only been able to achieve all that it has because of such generosity.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

Theorganisationis charitablecompanylimitedbyguarantee,incorporatedon7 May2002andregisteredas a charity on
23 July 2003.
ThecompanywasestablishedunderaMemorandumofAssociationwhichestablishedtheobjectsandpowersof the
charitablecompanyandisgovernedunderitsArticlesofAssociation.Intheeventofthecompanybeingwound up
members are required to contribute an amount not exceeding £10.

Recruitment and appointment of new trustees

The directorsof the companyare also charitytrusteesfor the purposeof charitylaw and under the company'sArticles are
knownasmembersoftheManagementCommittee.TheTrusteesareresponsiblefortheadministrationand investment
policy of the Scheme. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Articles of Association of the Charitable Company.

Organisational structure

Theorganisation,includingtheCEOandthevolunteersworkfromhome,ourregisteredofficebeingArquenHouse 4-6
SpicerStreet,StAlbans,Herts,AL34PQ,fromwhichitcarriesoutitsdirectionofoperations.Thisincludes fundraising,
networking and communications, and its accounts.
The Boardof Trustees seeks to meet a minimum of four times a year, to review and monitorthe work and management of
the Charity.This body also approves annual budgets and scrutinises policy decisions.
The boardconsistedof the CEO,threedirectorsandthe CompanySecretary,who is responsiblefor completing statutory
returns on behalf of the Charity.

Wider network

Hope for the Nations Children's Charity seeks and encourages partnership with others, to enhance the work of the Charity.
OurcoalitionpartnershipsincludeHopefortheNations(Canada,Malawi,Romania,Eswatini),Elim(U.K), Ahava
Ministries, Gulugufe and Ignite Hubs International as well as with church groupings both here and abroad.

Risk management

The Trusteeshave a dutyto identifyandreview the risksto whichHopefor The NationsChildren'sCharityis exposed and
to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.
ThetrusteesactivelyreviewthemajorrisksthattheCharityfacesonaregularbasis.Thetrusteesbelievethatthey have
thesystemsinplacetomitigatetheserisks.Thisincludesmattersofhealthandsafety,wherebytheHealthand Safety
matters will be discussed by the board on occasion.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Company for the year ended 31 July 2024.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As thecharity'strusteesof theCompany(andalsoitsdirectorsforthepurposesof companylaw)youareresponsible for
the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').
HavingsatisfiedmyselfthattheaccountsoftheCompanyarenotrequiredtobeauditedunderPart16ofthe2006 Act
andareeligibleforindependentexamination,I reportinrespectofmyexaminationofyourcharity'saccountsas carried

1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements

Thefinancialstatementsofthecharitablecompany,whichisapublicbenefitentityunderFRS102,have been
preparedinaccordancewiththeCharitiesSORP(FRS102)'AccountingandReportingbyCharities:Statement of
RecommendedPracticeapplicableto charitiespreparingtheir accountsin accordancewith the Financial Reporting
StandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland(FRS102)(effective1January2019)',Financial Reporting
Standard102'TheFinancialReportingStandardapplicableintheUKandRepublicofIreland'andthe Companies
Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Income

All incomeis recognisedin the Statementof FinancialActivitiesonce the charityhas entitlementto the funds,it is
probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured reliably.

Expenditure

Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees.
Restrictedfundscanonlybe usedforparticularrestrictedpurposeswithinthe objectsof the charity. Restrictions

Hope for the Nations partnered projects in Kenya.
KwattSwap-recordsthefundingreceivedandpaidoutinrespectoftheKilowattSwapcampaign.KwattSwapis a
workingname for Hope for the NationsinCharityCommissionrecords and is a fundraisingtool for the purchase of
renewableenergy productswhich are sent to vulnerablepeople,hospitalsand schoolsin the developing world.We
askpeopletoreducetheamountofdirtyenergytheyuseanddonatethemonetaryvalueoftheirsaving to
purchase clean energy kits for those in need.
Ahava- Ahava Ministries - Providing a clinic, health, hygiene and nutrition education, agricultural   projects.
Gulugufe-Gulugufe Malawi - Permaculture training and community development.

No remuneration was paid to key management personnel in either 2023 or 2024.

Related party transactions

Onetrustee,WillSymons,is alsoa trusteeofNehemiahConstruction.A fullprovisionwasmadeagainstthe debt
of £30,000due from NehemiahConstructionin the 2017 accounts.No moneyhas been receivedin respectof this
loan in either 2023 or 2024.
LDennisasCEOisconsideredtobearelatedparty.Duringtheyearhereceivedexpensesof£2,400forUse of
Home as Office (2023: £2,400) and a companyof which he and his wife are directors,BrightRiver Ltd, received £36
in fundraising commission payments from the Charity (2023:£1,271).
BrandgelizeLtd,acompanyofwhichYIkennaisadirector,receivedpaymentsof£2,800inrespectof branding
payments from the time of her appointment as trustee in March 2024.
As disclosedin note 11, Debtors,£102,482(2023: £83,691)was owed by Hftn ShopLtd and £2,245(2023: £1,729)
was owed by Hftn Shop ( H & V) Ltd. Two of the trusteesof the charity,W R Symons and K Grover,are directors of
both of these companies.
