HopeforTheNationsisanon-governmental,non-politicalorganisationcreatedasacharitablelegalentityin2002. The
Memorandum of Association defines the charity's 'Objects' as being:

"TorelievepovertyandadvanceeducationwithaChristianethosbytheprovisionoffunds,equipment,training, and
personnel, particularly but not exclusively to those persons living in Africa".

WhilstHopeForTheNationscarriesoutsomedisasterreliefwork,itconsidersthatthebestmethodofmeeting its
objectivesisthroughlongterminvestmentinthelivesofindividualorphansandwidowsbysponsorship, establishing
children'shomes, feedingprogrammes,education,encouragingself-sufficiencythroughdevelopingmicro enterprises, and
byprovidingasourceofcleanwater,andprovidinghumanitarianaid.Itpartnersincoalitionwithotherswith similar
objectives, in order to maximise the value to beneficiary groups.

KwattswapisaworkingnameofHopefortheNationsChildren'sCharitywiththepurposeofraisingfundsfor solar
equipment for widows, schools, clinics, hospitals and communities in developing countries.

agriculture and sustainable projects.

We continue to send the sponsorship support to these projects and workers.

KwattSwapisnowanoperatingnameofHFTNwiththeaimtoraisefundsthroughdonationsforthepurpose of
purchasing solar equipment to be sent out to projects that we support.
```

20 solar kits have been sent out to widows in Mukwa, Kenya and funds are being raised to purchasea further20 solar kits.
Funds are also being raised to purchase and install a solar bore hole pump in Butiikwa village in Uganda.
```

Inpreviousyearsthecharityhadfaceddifficultiesincontinuingwiththeirworkduetolockdownrestrictionswithin the
countries.It still means that no visits to the projectshave been possibleby HFTN directorsand staff, howeverthe 40 solar
kits sent out to Kenya in two batches have now been delivered to the widows.

particular financial pressures at particular times.

At the endof thisfinancialyearthe level of reserveshadincreasedto £116,006(2022:£108,125)andavailablefunds, i.e.
those excluding fixed assets and restricted funds, stood at £106,917 (2022: £98,449).

fit.Thetrusteesconsideranyinvestmentsonanindividualbasis,andaredutyboundtoseekappropriate professional
advice before reaching any decision. At the year end the Charity had no invested funds.
