year 1 May 2024 10 30 April 2025. The Annual report seNe5 the purposes of both a Trustee5' report and a
directors. rep)rt under company law. The Trustees confimi that the Annual report and financial statements of the
chaTltable company comply with the current statutory requirements. the requirements of the charilabte company's
goveming document and the provisions of the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) applicable to
charities preparing their accounts in aceordance wth the Financial Reporting Standard applcable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland (FRS102) (effective 1 January 2019).
Since the Coryany qU8￿fieS as small under seclion 382 of the Companies Act 2006, the Strategic report
required of medium and large companies under the Conwnies Act 2006 (Strategic Report and Dlreetors.
Report) Regulalions 2013 has been orrntted.

In selling objectives and ￿annIng for a¢tiviti'es. the Trustees have given due consideration to general guidance
published by the Charity Commission relating to wbjic beneffi( induding the guidance 'Public benefft.. running a
harity (P82)'.
b. Strategies for achieving objectives
Endlesham Hall (EH) is a chaiity that previously funclioned as Balham Community Church (BCC)- This is no
longer the case, bul the objectives of BCC are now incorForated in those of EH in regard to being fully invofved
th the wider community in 8alham and further affield, offering love. support and service, believing all to be
made in the image and likeness of their creator.

The charity. EH. continued to serve the wider ￿m￿￿nIty, wekoming groups to base their activities at our facility

Our CEO continued to meet occasionalty with the (not so) young men he had supported in the
developmént oftheir Christian faith in the past and who now for mutual encouragemenL
In September, a prayer wophecy evening w85 hosted by a l¢xal Christian young woman.
In Juty the funeral of a previous church wEmber was hekj at Endtesham Hall. The venue was full of people
sharing love, sadness 8nd joy as we all remembered this wonderful woman. This began a run of very
special events as member5 of the Mauritian comnwnity who had wotshipped with or grown up in BCC
chose to come back to celebrate Signifi￿nt rrilestones.
In November it was an 80th birttmlay party
In January. an infant dedicalion.
In February. a 1st party.
In April. a baptism of 3 young aduhs.
Finally. one of our young men who is a professional aL*Jr. initiated a gathering of creab.ves to explore faith
and spirituality in an indusive space. This went very well and *ill continue in the comiNJ year.
In April. we began a regular gathering for prayer to support a methr of our commuThty who is facing signifficant
heabth Ghallenges.

Achievements and perfomxnce
a. Main achievements of the Company
Regarding the Endlesham Hall Redeve[oF￿enl. conlinue to work closety with the GLA who have made
significant grants for the so(ial housing aspect of the planned new bUll￿1ng. We are excited about this Creative
Community Living project.
We have several funding aprdicalions in Frfocess including to:
Garfield Weston, subnj'tted exprewon of interest the end of 2024 arml now working on the grant application.
The Laing Fanrrity Trust, sent end ofJanuary 2025
The Sistets of the Love of God Charitable Tnjst grant apph.&￿1On in process.
n January we hekj a New Endle5ham Hall Vtsion Launch which included input from people who had been
encouraged and supported by the charity in the past. This included an interview with Deepak RaVIr￿r0n, the
founder of Oddbox. The evening was well supported and significanl for networking.
The NEH team continue to meet regutarty.
The tsJil(ling continues to be a challenge. Major work needed to be done fr)llowng a gas leak and the patching
up of a roof leak and a water tank leak.
Financially. we are able to fijndion and maintain the tAmkJing adequately with our faithful supporters and users.
New users are arrivirwJ but we are aware that somè enquirers are reluctant to stsrt wrth the uncertainty regarding
the building closing arKI being demolished.
We continue to look for further financial support for the charity itselr.
De5prle the challenges. we have had a great year. seeing so mary people using, valuing and enjoying the Hall.
There is a ￿fe and energy that seems unhindered by the ffirnitab.ons of Ihe buikling and that gives us enormous
satisfaction.

Financial review
a. Going concem
After making approwiate enquiries, the T￿￿tee5 have 8 reasonable expectalion that the Company has adequate
resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason. they continue to adopt
the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. Further details regarding the adoption of the going
concern basi5 can be found in the accounting po￿(aeS.
b. Reserles policy
The Board has assessed the major iisks to which the Charity is exwsed and are satisfied that sysleffs are in
place to mitigate the exposure to the major iisks. The Chanty aims to have sufficient free reserves to ensure that
it can rneets ifs obligations in the event of a sharp dechne in its income and has a target of £25,000 to cover this
and any costs in respect of it hawng to ck)se.

Accounting policies
2.1 Basis of preparatlon of financbal statements
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Charities SORP {FRS 1021-
Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Ststement of Re￿rnrnended Practice applicable to Char￿eS
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Finanual ReFJOrting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republie of Ire18nd (FRS 102) (effeclive 1 January 2019). the Financial Reporling Standard
app￿cable in the UK and Repub￿¢ of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006.
Endlesham HallEndlesham Hall meets the defjnilion of a public benefft entity under FRS 102. Assets
and ￿atr￿lities are Ini￿al￿ recognised at historical cost or transaction valu8 unless othenvise stated in
th8 relevant accounting policy.
2.2 Income
All income is recognised once the Company has entitiement to the income. It is probable th81 the
income will be recebved the amount of ino)ff* rKeivable can be measured reliably.
Grants are included in the Ststement of financial 8CtrvitTres on a receivable basis. The balance of
income received for specific purposes but not expended during the perirml is shown in the relevant
funds on the Balance sheet. Where income is rKeived in advance of entitlement of receipt, its
recognition is deferred and incjuded in creditots as defened income. Where entitlement occurs
before income received. the income is accrued.
Income tax recoverable in relation to investment income is recognised at the time the investment
income is receivable.
2.3 Expendituro
Expenditure is recognised On￿ there is a legal or constructive obligation lo transfer economic benefit
to a third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in setuement and
the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs
of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and shared costs. including support costs
involved in undertaking each act"vty. Direct costs attributable to a single activ￿ are allocated directly
to that activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and supwrt costs which are
not attributable to a single activity are apporttoned between those activities on a basis consistent with
the use of resources. Cent￿1 stsff costs are allocated on the basis of b'me spent, and depreciation
harges allocated on the ofthe asseys use.
Expenditure on charrlable activities is incurred on directly undertaking the aLINilie5 which fvrther the
Company's obje¢lives, as well as any associated supp)rt ¢osts.

The Company onty has financial assets and finanaal liatrAlities of a knnd that qualify as basic financial
instruments. 88sic ffinancial inStrU￿￿￿ts are initially recognised at transaction value and sut6equentty
measured at thwr settlement value wilh the excepb'on of bank loans which are subsequentty
measured at amrtised cost using the effective interest method.
2.10 Pensions
The Company operates a defined contribulion pension scheme and the pension charge represents
the amunts payable by the Company to the fund in respect ofthe year.
2.11 Fund a¢¢ounting
General furth are unre5tiic*ed funds whith are available for use at the discretion of the Trustees in
fvrlherance of the general obieclrves of Ihe Coff4Jany and which have not been designated for othei
purposes.
Restricted funds are frjnds which are to be used in accordance Viith specific restrictions imposed by
donors or which have been raised by the Company for parlicular purposes. The costs of raising and
administering such funds are charged against the specific furKI. The aim and use of each restricted
fund is set out in the r￿teS to the fjnancaal sL*ments.
Investment income, gains arKI losses are allocated to the appropriate fund.
