## **Trustee Report for Marton Community Centre 2021**

2021 was a still a difficult year for everyone due to Covid restrictions.

We were closed for the majority of last year and some of this year but apart from the national lockdown as last year we were open for the few children based groups that were able to continue.

We continued with the refurbishment of the centre. We finished both the toilets, the Staithes and Hamish rooms.

Once again, we were unable to carry out any fundraising events, but the COVID grants we had received enabled us to carry on paying the utility bills.

By August our groups had started to return as and when they felt comfortable, and we have very few spare slots on our timetable. Towards the end of the year, we started talks about opening an

Eco shop and hopefully that will be starting sometime in 2022. Once again, our main problem is lack of volunteers.

As our committees average age is seventy years and we are always looking for new volunteers to join our group.
