FY Jan 1 2023-Dec 31 2023

Charity Number:1098353

Sunseed is managed through two working groups, the Trustee group and the Coordinator Team. The trustee group is made up of people with a close association to the project over a period of years, often those that have worked as coordinators on site and who are interested in staying on in an advisory capacity.

Both teams work with a flat management structure, and in the last few years have adopted Sociocracy as a tool for effective decision making.

Activities and Objectives in the year/ Achievements, Performance and Public Benefit

The year 2023 has been a year of consolidation of undertaken transformation, started during the previous year. A group of 3 Project Managers has been employed in order to change from purely volunteer-based internal governance to a more stable governance model. The Managers were hired on a fixed term contract of 2 years minimum and this provided an improvement on the stability of governance.

Standard activities were continued during 2023, like volunteer management and demonstration, school visits, courses and internships.

During the year project received, as usual, volunteers from European Union ESC programme.

Funds held by custodian trustees

There are no funds held by custodian trustees.
