AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF (HEREINAFTER CALLED 'THE AREA OF BENEFIT') WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATION IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS;(2) TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE PRESERVATION AND CONSERVATION OF THE AREA KNOW AS HYLTON CASTLE AND DEANE, SUNDERLAND, TYNE AND WEAR.

**Activities:** We work with local authorities, agencies, and other voluntary organisations to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupations. The objective of this being to improve the conditions of life for the community of Sunderland North and the City in general. Principal concern is the development of Hylton Castle for community use.
