To hold an annual show, if possible, with classes for a wide variety of animals both farm and domestic, to encourage country crafts and skills.To award educational grants to young people to further their studies in connection with agriculture and related subjects, provided that they live in Todmorden or otherwise have a connection with the show.

Objects: 1. To Promote And Improve All Areas Of Agriculture For The Public Benefit By Encouraging Skills And Industries, Trades, Crafts And Professions Connected With IT And By Holding An Annual Agricultural Show, Provided That The Society Shall Not Be Obliged To Hold A Show In Any Year In Relation To Which The Committee Of The Society Shall Resolve That The Holding Of Such Show Is Impractical Or Not In The Interests Of The Society2. To Advance Education In The Skills, Industries, Trades, Crafts And Professions Connected With Agriculture By The Provision Of Financial Assistance Of Students Connected With Agriculture Living In Todmorden And By Raising The Public Awareness In All Matters Relating To Agriculture
