||Summary of the main<br>achievements of the<br>charity, identifying the<br>diference the charity’s<br>work has made to the<br>circumstances of its<br>benefciaries and any<br>wider benefts to society<br>as a whole.|Para 1.20||The Business<br> The number of children<br>has remained static.<br>Our Provision<br>This year has been an<br>unusual year due to the pandemic.<br>We have remained open to provide<br>continuity to the children and<br>families.<br>Towards the end of the year, we were<br>able to welcome back outside<br>specialists including Butterfy Yoga<br>and Music and Movement sessions.<br>We also welcomed a local dentist to<br>the setting, this promoted dental<br>hygiene and healthy eating. A local<br>barber visited the nursery with his<br>mobile barber shop.<br>Our nursery children enjoyed growing<br>their own fruit and vegetables and<br>observing some ducklings hatching.<br>Our children continued learning and<br>as practitioners we ensured all areas<br>of the Early Years Foundation Stage<br>were covered.<br>We have introduced a new ethos,<br>which is Engage, Explore, Enjoy.<br>Our Staf<br>As in previous years our<br>staf turnover has remained low. We<br>continue to have one qualifed<br>teacher (QTS) and the Manager<br>completed her qualifcation in Early<br>Years Initial Teacher Training. Training<br>remains a priority with all staf having<br>undergone some additional<br>extracurricular training as well as core<br>or mandatory skills in the year. One of<br>the highlights being Forest School<br>Training.<br>Our Premises<br>This year the nursery<br>paid for new decking. This was<br>supplied by a local building<br>contractor.<br>Our Equipment<br>Unserviceable<br>equipment has been replaced as a<br>matter of course. To encourage more<br>use of the outside learning<br>environment, especially during the<br>pandemic, funds were used to<br>purchase equipment such as a mud<br>kitchen and large interactive boards<br>(enabling bubbles of children to<br>remain separate)<br>Our Parents and Carers<br>This year has<br>been unusual for our families as we<br>could not welcome them into the||

|setting. We have found our families to|
|be very supportive and respectful of|
|this. We have welcomed parents onto|
|our committee, and they have been|
|influential in fundraising for the|
|setting, carrying out events such as|
|plant sale and cake stall. During this|
|year there has been a transition from|
|paper information to online emails|
|and Facebook communication, this|
|has proved particularly popular with|
|our families. We have been using|
|‘survey monkey’ to gain feedback|
|from our families, we have used this|
|in our planning at the setting.|
|The Community|The trustees would|
|like to thank member of our|
|community who have visited the|
|setting providing informative and|
|entertaining talks and advice given to|
|the children. We would also like to|
|thank various individuals and|
|commercial organisations whose|
|donations of consumables and raffle|
|prizes for nursery fundraising, they|
|have been greatly appreciated.|
