The Board of Trustees have paid due regard lo guIdar￿e issued by the Charity Commission in d&ciding what

The nèw building is now fulty opèrdional and has hostèd ovw 500 34ay 2-nMJht reSid￿ttial trips ty children from
Knowsley. Promotional material and markebng indu¢Jes the additi¢)nal aecommodation and has resuYLed in an
increaso in enquiries. Wg continue our (zmpaign in highlighting the fact that parents ale being offe￿d our
residential package at around a third of Ihe cost ol aIleMatp￿ provision. We f mily believe that our offer at least
matches and in rtlany cases exceeds th* of alietrtative providers. We wll expand our extemal provlders in order lo
be in a position to offer a diverse range of acbvttses to th08e schools th*. attend. We are Iwking to arrange regular
meetings with ihe hvo headleacher forums for Knowsiey, Mth tr.e aim of pressing the fact that Otmside can save
families and schools a signifjcant amount of rMey wh￿h is essential Ou￿ng the cost-of4iving r￿SiS.

statemenis.
1.3 CharStable funds
Unrestrided funds are available for use at the disixetion of the Board of Trustees in furtherance of their
charitsble obieetives.
Restricted funds are subject lo spe(xfrc condrtK)n$ by donors or grant0￿ ès tts how they may be used. The
purposes and uses of the ￿lricted fvnds are set out in the tkotes to the financial ststetnents.
Endowment funds are subjèct to specffic conditions by donors that Ihe capital must be rnainlaiTM4 by the
Charity.
1.4 Incoma
In¢ome is reeognised when the Chamty is legalty entjtled to rt after any performanc8 conditiorks have b88n
met, the amounts can be measured reliably. and it is probable that income will be received.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other dogath)ns are recognised once the Chanty has b8èn notified
of the donation. unless performance conditions require deferral of the arrKJunt. Income tax recoverable in
