As requested, I have carried out a review of Friends of Christ the King Fundraising Group accounts for the year ended 31 August 2024. As stated at the end of last year, the accounts now include the bank balances transferred from Christ the King FR Group. I can confirm the following:
-
The cheque book, bank statement and items indicated as cheque payment in the cashbook all balanced.
-
All net cash recorded in the event income and expenditure accounts is correctly recorded in the cashbook and has subsequently been paid into the bank account held at Barclays Bank.
-
All sumup card transactions have been correctly recorded.
-
All receipted expenditure has been correctly recorded.
-
All interest has been correctly recorded in the cashbook.
-
All monthly lottery subscriptions have been received in the bank account at Nat West and have been correctly recorded in the cashbook.
-
The cash / bank balances as at 31 August 2024 are confirmed as:

I have attached a summary of the Income & Expenditure for the period and values relating to Gross Income & Expenditure. Gross Income and Expenditure is less than £250,000 for the year and hence you will not be required to produce the accounts on an accruals basis, however, it is greater than £25,000 so you will be required to file your accounts and an annual report with the Charities Commission.
In summary, I would confirm that the accounts of Friends of Christ the King Fundraising Group have again been completed in a very professional manner and overall, from the information available to me, would appear to be an accurate record of income and expenditure.
