## **Queniborough Preschool partnership - Treasurer’s Report for the year to 3[rd] August 2022**

The Accounts to which this report relates, covered a period that was partly administered by the previous committee and a period when the new committee could not influence what needed to happen/change as the volume of red tape associated with the new committee being installed, took such a long time. The Ofsted report that took place at the beginning of 2022 did us no favours at all and it has taken and is taking a greater length of time for us to resolve all of the issues that emanated from that report. We are now in a better position to move forward with rebuilding QPS to benefit the local community and parents.

The accounts that are presented to you show a breakeven situation: although income rose by 14%, the overheads rose by 18.9%. This is clearly not a satisfactory state of affairs and one which the new committee is addressing albeit the results of our labours are slow in achieving the desired results.

The Partnership is still viable as the Balance Sheet shows but more needs to be done in order to continue and to build upon the previous successes.

The new committee is seeking assistance from our stakeholders to address issues with both the rising costs and the reduction in income that the 2023 accounts will inevitably show. We are, however, staying positive and are looking forward to once again becoming a tour de force for early learning withing the Queniborough area.
