Seven programmes of Compasslon are provided through Hands of Mercy International which
supports families and children liiryn8 in poverty in Metro Manila, Mandaluyon8 and Baguio in the
Philippines. These are-
l. SupplemeTrtwy Feedkni Prayamrne- Pfovidini food to undernourished children
2. F•mlly ￿pp￿t Prowamme- providing the poorest of families wlth supplementsry food
assistance
3. Home Impiovement Programme- providin8 families with the necesury help and resources
to help repair their dilapidated home5
4. Chlld 5ptyis<wshlp Pro8Twnme- enabling children to attend SCh(X￿ or college and receive
help with thwr health needs
5. S￿￿1(•1 Treatment Programme- providing fvnding towards surllcal treatment

SUMMARY OF THE YEAR AND MAIN ACHIEVEMENfs OFTHE CHARITY
Hands of Mercy continued to provide compassion progr•mmes during the year. focusing or¢
providing families and children with f¢h)d support. and children with education support. other
programmes were in optration in response to need le.g. the Prestription Medkine Proqr•mme •nd
the Disabled Therapy Proqrammel but of the seven t¢xnpassbon Pfogrammes, the followln8 ones
were priorltised:
Child Sponsorshlp Pro8rnmme- over l(M) children contlnued to be sponsored for thelr
education and health needs, with a nurnber of children moving up to college.
Family Support Programme- over 50 of the poorest farnilies continued to re¢elve
supplementary food every month throu8h the Family Support ProgTrmme.
Supplementsry Feeding Prtrarnmme~ this continued to serve meals to underwe￿ht and
m*lnourlshed chlldren In eliht locatlons In the squatter communitl•s.
Prlces contlnued to rise in the Philipptnes and the country w*s aialn htt vAth severe weather
conditions and rlsing inflation. This rnade the econornic situ•tion in tht Phllippines more challeniin¢.
Churches and Indlvlduals in the Unbted KIn8￿M continued to support the cornpjssion work through
prnyer, child and fimlly spon50rshlp ènd don•tions.
BRIEF STATEMEpif OF THE CHARI￿$ POUCY ON RESERVES
Hands of Merry receives Its funds through donations. The charity had £28,210 on *¢¢ount at the
start of the fin•nci41 year1£14,(XXI of which w•s restricted) and received £108,077 of incorne during
the ye•r1202>2024: £1(M),9671. Its expenditur¢ w*s £96,748 {2023-2024: £104,6771.
A percentsie of the rnoney liven for the hurnanitsri•n cornp•55ion proernmmes Is held In
contingency fund at the HSBC. This is typically equivalent to three months. runnlnq costs.
