The Charity was set up by the Will of the late John Morris Turney who died on 23[rd] June 2002.
The balance of his residuary Estate was held with a view to the acquisition of properties for the provision of accommodation for needy persons. Priority was to be given to individuals who had been resident in the Parishes of either Reed or Therfield for a minimum of four years and with preference to ex employees of the late John Morris Turney.
To acquire dwellings and improve and maintain them.
To construct dwellings and maintain them.
To appoint income and 25% of the Capital for the following charities: The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Fund, Letchworth Garden Hospice, The Turney Village Trust, The St John Ambulance (Royston Branch), The Red Cross (Royston Branch).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5}{b) of the Act.
