The Charity was set up by the Will of the late John Morris Turney who died on 23[rd] June 2002.

The balance of his residuary Estate was held with a view to the acquisition of properties for the provision of accommodation for needy persons. Priority was to be given to individuals who had been resident in the Parishes of either Reed or Therfield for a minimum of four years and with preference to ex employees of the late John Morris Turney.

To acquire dwellings and improve and maintain them.
