|OBJECTIVES|AND ACTIVITIES||||

|In school|holidays<br>and<br>inset days,<br>we also provide<br>creative<br>activities|for older children<br>during<br>these|Friday||
|sessions.|During<br>the summer<br>holidays<br>we secured<br>additional<br>funding|from<br>No Fit State Circus'<br>'Square||Mile'|
|project. Funds were<br>held<br>by the Aurora<br>Trinity<br>Collective.<br>This part-funded<br>seven weeks of activities<br>for||||older|
|children<br>which we ran<br>in collaboration<br>for the third year<br>in a row with Welsh Refugee<br>Council's<br>Playgroup.||||The|
|programme|culminated<br>in the<br>collective<br>and<br>their<br>children<br>taking<br>part<br>in the<br>Clifton<br>Street<br>Parade|||on<br>2|
|September.|||||
|The development<br>of the group's<br>collaborative<br>artworks<br>has progressed,||and these<br>will be exhibited<br>at the|Glynn||
|Vivian<br>Art|Gallery<br>alongside<br>AM10 presentations<br>from October 2023.|Led by Ogechi<br>Dimeke,<br>the group||have|
|created a 50-metre-long<br>dyed textile work, along with around 20 smaller||2x1 metre dyed textile works that can be|||
|worn<br>by<br>the<br>group.<br>This<br>has<br>now<br>been<br>photographed<br>on<br>Penarth||Beach<br>by<br>Amak<br>Mahmoodian,||with|
|choreography<br>supported<br>by June Campbell-Davies,<br>and an accompanying<br>audio work.<br>In this, members|||of the||
|group<br>discuss<br>their<br>relationship<br>to textiles<br>and<br>their<br>experiences<br>of||being<br>part<br>of the<br>group<br>in<br>their||own|
|languages,|including<br>Urdu, Farsi, Bengali, Arabic, English and Tigrinya.||||
|The group|also performed<br>in a 'march<br>for friendship'<br>and exhibited<br>their|banner<br>work at g39 in August 2023 as|||
|part ofthe|'Made<br>in Roath Open Exhibition'.||||
|The collective have continued<br>work on several mini-projects<br>which include:|||||
|a)|A short bookwork<br>on the group's purpose<br>and history||||
|b)|Additional<br>sewing<br>lessons,<br>led by Marianne<br>Barwise. This has now been completed<br>and the group||||
||independently<br>looking for funding<br>to continue<br>this strand of provision.||||
|c)|We continue<br>to support<br>ATC organisational<br>development|(creating<br>clarity<br>around<br>how decisions|||
||made,<br>getting<br>ATC membership<br>agreements<br>signed<br>and|beginning<br>to articulate<br>a structure||to|
||steering group).||||
|Creating<br>new networks<br>across South Wales.|||||
|a)|The group continues<br>to collaborate<br>with Welsh Refugee Council (as detailed above) but in addition,||||
||continue<br>to develop<br>new relationships<br>with Glynn Vivian's Threads<br>group. They will also be||||
||consulting<br>with Oriel Davies on the development<br>oftheir new|programme<br>where they hope to work|||
||with newly<br>arrived<br>families<br>in Newtown.||||
|Additionally,<br>we|have help set up the ATC group now being regularly<br>attended|by a Community<br>Employment<br>Mentor from|||
|Cardiff<br>Council|who<br>runs<br>one-on-one<br>employment<br>surgeries<br>regularly<br>(around<br>2 per month)<br>alongside<br>our|||Friday|
|provision.|||||
